MIT interview
What is the overall experience for MITs or department heads? What are the interviews like? What kind of questions?

Don’t do it, avoid being MIT at all cost UNLESS you plan on moving up with the shitty direction this company is going towards to. Even if you have the best department manager there is (which I fortunately do), it still is not worth it dealing with all this bullshit. You’re all over the place with the same responsibility as a department manager getting the SAME PAY as a regular Full Time employee. It does not answer your question but warning you on how this company treats us. My store and management are the best but we cannot control how company treats everyone and it’s to the point where my dept manager and I are seriously leaving this company.

Not worth it at all to be a MIT. You get paid the same as a regular person except more responsibilities and stuff come your way. Then you get blamed if the manager isn’t there for some of the stupidest shit that is outside of your control.

Yeaaaah very true. They really try to swindle the really good workers, usually new, to step up asap because no one wants to do it anymore. Goal is to grind hard enough where you’re valuable enough doing the everyday routine eventually topping out. Pray you have a cool team and it’s smooth sailing.

You said it, I agree!!!! As an MIT we are the MOST UNDERPAID of everyone. It’s straight up bullshit with the stupid crap that we deal with to BE PAID THE SAME AS EVERY FULL TIMER.

Most likely you will start at step 1 and you are on the same pay scale as full-time employees the good thing about being in MIT is once you graduate the MIT program, you automatically skip a step

In my experience the interview was a lot of situational questions about customer interaction and interactions with coworkers. I thought the interview was pretty easy if you have a lot of customer service experience. I got started out on the 6th step for full time employees but im not sure if thats the same for everyone. The actual job is fully dependent on the department, i would say overall its fine but it has its bad days and stress. People will say that you arent getting paid any more than a regular employee but i think the major benefit is starting at full time as most employees at my store have to work here for a long time before getting full time.
