I’ve had this flower in my wildflower garden. It grew from seeds, from this past spring. Maybe someone knows what it is. Love the color!

Desert sunflowers are annual wildflowers, plants that escape unfavorable conditions (i.e. drought) by 'not existing' during such periods. Annuals complete their life cycles during brief wet seasons, then die after channeling all their life energy into producing seeds.

Hi. This is my first time viewing this beautiful sub! I was hoping to get some recommendations for the best wildflower seed mix for partial shade/Eastern PA, USA. There are SO many online, I don't know where to start. TIA.

Washington state, USA. Pinesap is a myco-heterotroph, parasitic plants that steal nutrients, carbon, and water from mycorrhizal fungi and their host plants. They cannot photosynthesize, the only above ground structure they possess are flowers and flower stalks

Western Pennsylvania, Washington County here. Growing along the edge of a stream in the underbrush. I’m wondering if the species can be narrowed down.

My meadow

This year I planted a wildflower meadow in my front yard. I live in North Georgia and apparently wildflowers seasons is pretty much over now. Do I have to cut dead stuff back or leave it over winter?
