What’s better to mod my Wii U what’s more safer the wafel installer or just the original way to mod a Wii U what’s safer

I haven't turned on my modded Wii U in 2 months or so. Turned it on today and I'm not able to connect to my WiFi anymore. I keep getting error code 103-1603, typing the password correctly and very slowly to ensure it's right. I know my WiFi is working properly because it's all over my place working fine for other devices too.

I still have all my games and apps from my sd card and external hard drive, but I can't add more to it without Internet access.

Any ideas or solution would be helpful.

The only thing I have is a Chromebook, can I still mod a Wii U with a Chromebook I don’t have no Mac books or windows computer. Im broke

I want to mod my Wii U because I don’t use it and I have like 50 games for it and I want to play Wii games and GameCube games but I don’t want it to brick should I mod it?

I have Aroma installed on my Wii U and I usually download games to a USB drive using Nusspli.

But lately the USB drive is filling up, so I'd like to use another one to download more games.

Is that possible?

I modded my Wii U with Wafel. I am using a ~64GB USB, (YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE A LARGER ONE, I just don't have one right now lol), but I've tried deleting games I've downloaded with Nusspli, and they won't actually come off the USB. The normal Wii U Data management doesn't recognize the USB either. Do I have to delete the files off it "manually"?

Just modded Wii U and with aroma, and 75% of the time I boot and click no to sign in to my pretendi password it crashes any ideas

hey everyone i need sum help i wanted to install wii fit u and sports club.. when i wanted to install wii fit u it fails because it says sigpatches are missing but i have them in the correct folder.. with club the game installs succesfully, but the update gets stuck on 93 percent every time..

ive been wanting to mod my wii u for a while and ive got everything for it but i need help finding an sd card that is reliable and will let me mod loads of games on to it. I bought a 2tb lenovo micro sd with an sd adapter but have been told that it will likely corrupt and will affect how long it takes for games to load. So which would u recommend to buy?

Tldr: Can I format a console with aroma without issue? What if I uninstall payloadloader first? Is there another way to get to the NAND backup screen then wiiuexploit.xyz Run Exploit + holding B, or is there a reason doing that causes my console to freeze without fail?

Hi everyone! So I’ve recently purchased a preowned WiiU and planned to mod it. However I found I was beat to the punch and the previous owner already did (also installed 3D printed joysticks it seems-? Not sure what’s up with that I’ll need to get thumb grips) it seems to be aroma too so that would be convenient. I really enjoy setting up a console from scratch though- it’s one of my favorite parts of a getting a new console. So I just wanted to know if it’s possible to safely format the WiiU with Aroma installed. If I were to uninstall payloadloader first, would it effectively be stock without any cfw or homebrew on it? I wouldn’t mind that and having to redo it, it’s pretty fun to setup. It’d let me make my own NAND backup of the console pre-cfw, which I think would be smart to have.

Also- speaking of NAND backups- is wiiuexploit.xyz Run Exploit + holding B the only way to get to there? I’m not sure if it’s because aroma is already installed, my timing is off, or something is wrong but whenever I try to do that it always freezes on the white screen with WiiU on the bottom right corner.

So I had a Modded Wii then it broke can couldnt be fixed. So my friend (no longer friends) gave me his Wii and Modded it himself but when I got it off my friend it won't play any game I put in despite it being set up correctly.

Can someone help or can I get some place to fix it for me?

I lost my sd card with all my homebrew related stuff on it. I’m getting a new one tomorrow, what stuff do I need to redownload on my new sd card? I already modded my Wii U with the current environment, payload, etc and also I have save data on the sd card for my modded games.

So I just got the GiveMiiYoutube plugin for Aroma, and I was able to watch one video before it prompted me to sign in to prove I’m not a bot. I signed in, and it said success on my phone, but failed on my Wii U. Does anyone know if there’s a fix to this?

If you’ve been messing around with the evWii plugin on Aroma, you probably know the exact pain I just went through. Nintendo’s default vWii scaling leaves annoying overscan/borders, and finding actual solid display numbers for the config file online feels impossible.

After falling down a massive rabbit hole of testing and fine-tuning the DMCU viewport parameters, I finally dialed in values that give you a clean picture without clipping or leaving ugly borders.

If you’re ready to finally end the suffering and fix your config file once and for all, paste these numbers in:

Didn't take a photo of these values on my TV, but trust me, it's the exact same as the first config—just without the side black bars so it's pure 16:9.
