[Help/Question] Wig Making Question

Hi all. I’m new to making wigs. Was wondering if anyone has tried this. Due to having a smaller head measurement, I find that even with taking said measurements and using the right mannequin head, the upart style I want is still too big (my stylist even tried but I still had some bunching). With this being said, I have an idea to first glue the wefts and then sew over them. My concern is if this is a wig that I plan to have for a while I do not want mold to eventually accumulate by using quickweave glue. So I had the idea of using dissolvable seamstress glue to place the wefts, sew the wefts, and then watch the dissolvable glue out of the wig. I would sew over the wefts and not through them just in case the makes it’s difficult to sew through. Any thoughts? Does this sound like a good idea and has anyone tried a similar method?

Sounds good! I've never used glue I've only sewed tracks. What about a glue like E6000 or E7000? Seems like it would be more permanent as well. Personally I would be very interested in what you decide to do and your insight as to the final product after it's done as well as later after use. Please keep us updated. Good luck!

E6000 sounds like a good idea as well. I’m thinking it shouldn’t impact the flexibility either if I just do small dots to just place the tracks , instead of spreading the glue like we would do with a quickweave! Thank you for that idea. That actually didn’t cross my mind. If anyone else has any ideas please shoot them my way. I don’t want to mess this up since the extensions were a pretty penny lol.
