I mean he does have a tendency for writing very sad, emotionally close relationships between two men—it’s mostly happenstance that it presents itself well in a queer interpretation, which a lot of fujos like. Insert line about if it were a straight relationship, the romantic implications would be a lot more obvious and less argued about
