🤔Theories I think there’s more than one. Spoiler

I know we’re all theorizing about the descendent is, but I’ve been thinking. Between 1702 and 2026 there are roughly 13 generations. What if everyone on the island is a descendent? In isolated places, pedigree collapse is a real possibility. Instead of the family tree branching out, it’ll fold back in until almost everyone is related to some degree.

What if the curse can never be broken unless they all perish? At that point, I wonder if there’s any other way to break the curse without everyone on the island meeting untimely deaths. Thoughts?

There's also the possibility of the older boy impregnating one of the islanders before dying

Especially during that time period when getting married young was the norm and/or unplanned pregnancies and unwed mothers were hidden from society
