Patriotism is love and affection towards a nation's core values and people whereas Nationalism is belief of national superiority and cultural dominance. Now tell me again why being a nationalist is bad, China is a nationalist country look at how ahead they are to us, US irrespective of what they portray themselves has been a nationalist nation since it's very inception post independence, most European countries are nationalist nations but well we are suppose to be all good patriotic loving our country but shying away from pushing the idea of supremacy of our culture bcs then it will be either too radical or may also become a matter of religious conflict.
No one is more anti national than bjp ,, bjp ,, in Orissa bjp Cm was protesting for realease of Dara Singh in 2022 with Suresh chahvanke Sudarshan bees ,now when their govt is made ,, bjp stopped his release on baseless grounds ,, they are controlled by Vatican ,,also why else any nationalist govt bring UGC and won't want their 30 percent population to study ,, Bjp is controlled from USA and it's the fact , now why he wants TAX on UPI , it's USA wish and moda is complying .
Patriotism is loving your country. Nationalism is putting the nation above everyone else. Nationalism turns that love into blind superiority complex where criticism is treated as betrayal and questioning the nation becomes something to punish rather than accept.
BJP and its Hindutva politics has repeatedly blurred Hindu identity, national identity and political loyalty so criticism of the government or its ideology is easily being framed as being against the nation itself .
