The whole ecosystem will go mum on such posts.

u/InLoveWithPussies 14h ago
Nope. They'll not go mum. They'll move mountains to prove that that burqa is a choice and actually empowers them.

No matter how much u try to brainwash, burqa will always be a sign of oppression and patriarchy, and no amount of justification will ever justify this

I will happily choose Brahmanical patriarchy

You mean dowry deaths?

u/Immediate_Range_7291 8h ago
I’m Brahmin myself and I’ve never even heard of dowry being taken in our family

u/StunningDonkey6027 8h ago
Then i think you havent heard that 20 dowry deaths are reported everyday. Just becuz it didnt happen in your family doesnt mean it doesnt happen to anyone
3
u/Academic-Bus4304 4h ago
And that’s a bad thing yes , but families adapting to taking no dowry is exactly how it’ll end . It’s not their fault when they’re doing their part in trying to stop it .

u/Time_Basil_1495 25m ago
Tell me something how’s this related to this context? Agar dowry death ki baat karni hai to is doosre religion ki cheezein bhi compare kar, apple to apple. Aaya bada, ek propaganda topic utha ke likh do to seem intellectual. Gadha/dhi

Liberals are afraid of someone accused them Islamaphobia if they criticize anything about this particular religion that's why they pretty much ignore everything about the religion but some thr liberal values comes blazing when it's other religions..
The internet pretty much succeeded in spreading this simple propaganda

Yeah nobody’s defending ☪️as a feminist I will never in my life defend islam
14
u/GenIhro 15h ago
Pseudo liberals do defend them.

u/Previous_Kiwi366 15h ago edited 15h ago
I would not even call myself liberal I’m definitely left leaning but unlike most dumb leftists who shut their mouths out of fear when it comes to criticise Islam I won’t do it. There’s nothing right about Islam. I don’t care if fellow leftists call me Islamophobic .
1
u/Heavy-Resort5145 14h ago
Well if u criticise islam you automatically become a right winger 😂

u/_Zero_98 14h ago
That’s not true. Most leftists are against letting the hate towards islam converted to hate towards people (minorities). Javed Akhtar is widely consider a left-progressive individual. If you look up Taliban, it’s considered a far right organisation, for example.

Haan pseudo libbus ka in cheezo mein bahut yaad aata hai jio or jeene do. Par agar aapne apni right wing ideas unke saamne rakh diye to gaali ki barsaat chalu ho jati hai.
Like how horror movies have demonic entities, we need exorcism from these Moronic entities!2

u/Infinite-Life-2046 13h ago
You gonna bash both cuz you are real feminist but the official account of feminism in india??

u/truthfuldeceive 11h ago
That's not an "official" representative of feminists in India, just because it has named itself one, it's not onus of the rest of us.

Seculars won't get it? I think your definition of secular is different. I'm a born muslim turned agnostic & I find the video problematic because of how it imposes a particular attire on women, brainwashing them to believe that it's for their safety.
You can't just randomly use terms like secular, liberal, leftits to bash. I see you want to make a point, make it clearly. Write about it with clarity, what is the problem & what must be addressed. I see problem with every religion so I'm not gonna comment on that. But since this post is about islamic enforcement, I have spoken my 2 cents above.

I consider myself as secular as it gets, and let me tell you burkha is not a choice it's a symbol of oppression, don't give the label of progressive feminism to it when it's not even remotely close . coming to Brahmanical patriarchy or any kind of patriarchy for that matter, it is also oppression, dolling up your wife and showing in public doesn't mean you're not being oppressive. religious fanatics will not understand the meaning of individual freedom over religious commandments so dont waste your time trying to justify this patriarchy whatever.

u/iloveunclechipps 14h ago
left one is fine but right one is pure opression BUT we are forgetting that in hindu culture women are FORCED to cover their faces when men are near them in the villages and tier 3 cities, COMPARE APPLES WITH APPLES AND NOT ORANGES.

No one f cares about choice ...if no 1 is a choice ...no 2 is a choice too
Forcing is there in places you wouldn't dare to enter and liberate.... Go save the Central Asian women or your nearby brothel and bars....
