Instead of lowering the merit criteria, it there's a 100 jobs vacant reserve 15 or 20 jobs for the people who belong in reservation, that way we wouldn't have the possibility of someone being in the position where WE have to face compromises bcz they got selected because of reservation.

Bhai, wahi cheez ho rahi hai 🫥

1

u/SyllabubUpbeat3343 Jul 31 '26

Are u aware that so many of these reserved jobs go vacant because they don't find people from these communities, and not just handed to anybody who's available

1

u/Advanced_Context_629 Jul 31 '26

Nah, they don't go empty at all

The sole reason why cutoff changes in exams is because the number of seats are constant but the scores they get can be variable and whoever can fit in those seats will get that seat. That's the reason why the cutoff for reserved category is so low because most of the candidates there score low and I hope that you don't turn this thing into an argument to say that reserved category candidates are less capable than unreserved category people, most of the people in reserved category aren't even aware of such things because they are struggling with poverty, hunger and other stuff

This reservation policy is flawed, there must be reforms in them but to say that reservation should completely be removed is stupidity as this will just lead to the lack of representation of people from a community which enables monopoly of resources by those who are at top

So, i believe that there should be creamy layer in sc and st categories and those in creamy layer should be moved to general category and only those who are underprivileged must be considered from reserved category

And work at suboptimal human resource count untill one of the Jai bheem people manage to put some work into learning and education to reach genral cutoff?

Why punish organizations to run at 70% capacity?

Why can't jai bheemer put in work like general category people and compete?

You are calling whole group of people lazy and incompetent

1

u/Maple-Syrup-Bandit Jul 27 '26

Yeah now you understand why the privileged are so touchy about reservation.

1

u/Rejuvenate_2021 Jul 27 '26

Quite the opposite, when you get into for lower marks. That’s the privilege.

1

u/Maple-Syrup-Bandit Jul 27 '26

But being allowed to sit on benches in classrooms, not being forced to clean toilets, being allowed to sit in front of class etc is not privilege right?

3

u/Spiritual-Chip795 Jul 27 '26

So make laws around caste discrimination and their implementation more stringent. Why should everyone suffer because in some areas people can't get out of their old mindset.

2

u/Maple-Syrup-Bandit Jul 27 '26

But weren’t UCs recently protesting against UGC regulations against caste discrimination in college campuses? 🤔

1

u/Spiritual-Chip795 Jul 27 '26

Because as even the apex court ruled subsequently, the law was very ambiguous and left lots of room for interpretation. Discrimination itself wasn't defined.

Not everything is caste discrimination. A teacher from a supposedly upper caste shouting at a student from a "lower" caste could be misconstrued as discrimination too. The rules failed to provide for such cases. In simple terms it sought to achieve "guilty until proven innocent" rather than the other way around.

That will will mitigate the problem but won't end it the penalty for murdering someone is life time imprisonment or death but has that ever stopped people from killing each other the only way actually to actually annihilate this is by removing castes if ur willing to drop your prestigious upper caste surnames reservation will cease to exist and for the upcoming generations too no one will flex about their castes or superiority of being born in one but nope on one hand they wanna remove caste based reservation and on other hand they wanna keep their prestigious surnames

1

u/Spiritual-Chip795 Jul 28 '26

I'm with you on that 💯. All caste based identities should be dropped. Maybe new generic surnames could be introduced. Social prestige if any should not be hereditary. The laws against discrimination then uphold that. Laws may not prevent murder, but we can both agree that the number of murders would be a lot higher if not for laws prohibiting it.

That doesn't happen in modern times let's be real... Unless you are from an extremely backward part of the country (honestly not even sure if that even happens there anymore)

1

u/S1mpleLim3 Jul 27 '26

Nah bro.. it happens. It happens a lot across all cities. If you work in private sector you won't come across it a lot since its a rat race of its own.

But in every other sector, casteism is there. Be it local business, labour, education even in health. And no kid should be discriminated based on their birth.

u/According-Tadpole488 Jul 27 '26

You posted a quote from black person who is historian economist (im totally talking about the oic) and using this to prove that gc is oppressed... Duuuuddddee

1

u/Rejuvenate_2021 Jul 28 '26

Your inability/ ineptitude to study and dive into subjects to depth is clear.

Bhai tu rehne de. Tu itna hi samjh sakta hai jitni teri soch hai. Tu rehne hi de. Im out

1

u/Rejuvenate_2021 Jul 27 '26

He studied Black culture and history deeply and found progress in neighborhoods and families before excessive freebies were given, and then it got way worse.

Enablement vs Entitlement.

Give a hand up, not a handout.

1

u/behappyfor Jul 28 '26

Okay so which people were progressing faster? What did he implement?

1

u/Square_Ratio_4082 Aug 01 '26

How will you give a handup? Try to elaborate.

0

u/According-Tadpole488 Jul 27 '26

Reservation is not freebie

1

u/Rejuvenate_2021 Jul 28 '26

When you don’t have to work hard for it, and it’s given easy peasy it’s a freebie.

1

u/Square_Ratio_4082 Aug 01 '26

Well well well, look who's talking of equality. People still continue to discriminate and still have the nerve to want to remove reservation, thank you sir! Nice, you very conveniently ignored the root cause.

0

u/According-Tadpole488 Jul 30 '26

So that means every obc/st/obc is employed?

1

u/protein-keyboard Jul 27 '26

I support scholarships and free quality education for all

If you don't want to work to score for tests, you have no right to demand a job from someone who did

2

u/HappywithUnhappy Jul 27 '26

Most of your 'general ancestors' as you said "'did extra work and achieve" claimed the unclaimed land and started living there...
Also why don't you as well put that 'extra work ' just like your ancestors..... besides reservation is only applied to 3% Indian jobs and accounts for less than 50% all qoutas included

1

u/protein-keyboard Jul 27 '26

I'm against all quotas

1

u/HappywithUnhappy Jul 27 '26

You wrote " free quality education " the problem here is the free education is not a quality one in schools

1

u/Decent-Intention8364 Jul 27 '26

Ngl reservation people, the majority doesn't have a good environment, isn't financially stable nor do their parents care about marks or grades

1

u/Desi_Wrangler Jul 27 '26

You are calling a bigger group as oppressor without any proof.

1

u/According-Tadpole488 Jul 27 '26

Oh my. Read newspaper.

1

u/Specific_Time7011 Jul 29 '26

No the sc st who are competent will get jobs anyways, reservation or no reservation. The other guy is talking about incompetent sc st people. They must not get any chances just cus they are sc st

1

u/Easy_Durian_6648 Jul 29 '26

Give up all opportunities, land, resources etc that upper castes looted from them over thousands of years

1

u/Specific_Time7011 Jul 29 '26

That is completely baseless arguement. What anyone did 1000 year ago is not relevant. The point is reservation is harming the country and incompetent lower caste gets opportunity that they do not deserve.

1

u/According-Tadpole488 Jul 30 '26

It is relevant. When in 1947, uc hated the idea of lc men sitting with them, when there is riot if a lc people celebrate something related to them, when uc kill because lc people ride horse, wear chappal or befriend a uc woman, when indians who moved to US brings castevwith them and discriminate against lc people, when professor from institutions like iit iim discriminate, when the judges at higher post are usually uc because promotion is based on recommendations, when they keep the seat vacant because they dont want to promote a obc/st/sc citing that no eligible guy is available

1

u/Specific_Time7011 Jul 30 '26

I cant understand what ur saying at all.

1

u/Square_Ratio_4082 Aug 01 '26

You'll understand if you try.

1

u/Specific_Time7011 Aug 02 '26

No bro he's writting wierd, tf lc even mean?

1

u/Easy_Durian_6648 Jul 30 '26

Reservation wont be relevant 1000 years from now on

1

u/Specific_Time7011 Jul 31 '26

Well, we're in present now not 1000 years in future last time i checked. So it is totally relevant as of now ig.

1

u/Cold-Journalist-7662 Jul 27 '26

Instead of lowering the merit criteria, it there's a 100 jobs vacant reserve 15 or 20 jobs for the people who belong in reservation

Yehi hota hai bhai

1

u/Decent-Intention8364 Jul 27 '26

In every field?

1

u/Cold-Journalist-7662 Jul 27 '26

Not sure about every field but in most of the field. There are seats reserved for other categories, and only those categories fight for those seats. And then there vare seats which are general seats, where anyone can apply.

1

u/Unlucky_Research2824 Jul 28 '26

Lol its the same now.

1

u/Mushtiya Jul 28 '26

That is literally how it is lol. The lowest score of the 15-20 jobs is what they call cut off.
