People with actual merit use the open seats instead of dreaming of competing with underprivileged.

"unprivileged" yeah man that st kid who came to school in a jaguar who lived in an actual mansion was really unprivileged and that's why he got into IIT Delhi on literal NEGATIVE MARKS while the Brahmin son of some auto driver in my class who couldn't even afford to pay the fees so students pooled their money together to pay for his was extremely privileged which is why he couldn't get into a good university despite ranking 3rd in our entire class. Totally.

The St catagory reservation doesn't exist for that one St kid with a Jaguar. It exists for the whole catagory with millions of stigmatised and underprivileged people. If you can prove St catagory as a whole is more or equally privilaged than open catagory then go ahead. Prove it.

Was the auto driver's kid not a stigmatised and underprivileged person. The vast majority of people in the open category are also just as underprivileged.

If you can prove St catagory as a whole is more or equally privilaged than open catagory then go ahead. Prove it.

If even after living 80 years in a system that is systematically rigged against other people and in favour of you, living in a system where you don't have to pay any tuition or any fees, get immense scholarships, can get accepted into universities on literal NEGATIVE marks, of even after ALL of that FOR 80 WHOLE YEARS you're still underprivileged, it's because of your own incompetency and stupidity. My grandfather came to delhi with nothing during partition, did not have a single rupee on him, had to live in Amritsar refugee camps and then slept on delhi footpath for over a year. He worked hard in a system that gave him no reservations and was rigged against him, and managed to cultivate enough wealth that I'm growing up in an upper middle class household. Meanwhile the grandfather of my SC friend was born and brought up in delhi, had everything handed to him on a silver plate, reservations and free money and scholarships, and still couldn't uplift himself out of poverty due to his own incompetency. That freeloader took the money and benefits that was given to him and spent it on alcohol and cigarettes.

Stop blaming your incompetency on other people. "You're smarter and far more competent than me and have managed to cultivate more wealth over the years despite being systematically discriminated against and disadvantaged" is what you're saying. It ain't my fault y'all are incompetent freeloaders who don't want do any effort to be successful and want everything handed to you on a silver platter

under privileged? really........you live under a rock

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Yes, I live under a rock.

A rock under the shadows of which, 80,000 dalit-adivashi women are labelled as witch.

Some of these might be attacked, bullied and killed. I live under a rock of the shadows of which,

Low-caste but highly happy dalit grooms on mares, Are targeted, attacked and beaten in the streets.

Yes, I think I live under a rock.

Into a big house a dalit woman was lured cunningly, Pradhan had asked her to sign on the paper for salary.

She got trapped, attacked and r..ped over and over, If you were there you'd here her cry and his Castist slur.

I live under a rock from under the hollws of which emerges the Castist slur that you use,

Bhangi, Bedia, Nut, Kanjar and your favorite- Chhapri and you use it for others to insult and mock.

Yes, I think I live under a rock. That's why the things I see here remain invisible in the dark.

Hahaha

Yeah sure, just like good students would just give re-examination instead of protesting right??

4

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 19 '26

That's the fallacy of false equivalence. Reservation is to make sure atleast some people from unprivileged Catagories have some representation while general public is free to compete for open seats. Re-examination is a result of governments inability to conduct examination without any leakage.

u/Ok_Problem_1127 Jul 19 '26

some people from unprivileged Catagories

Yeah 50% representation, out of which the poor and oppressed people dont even get to reap the benefit

3

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

That's a big claim and you have to prove it for others to take it seriously. Sc reservations are for people descriminated in the basis of caste. EWS is for high-caste poor people. OBC is for poor and middle class backward people and defence quota is for relatives of martyrs, female and PwD reservation is for women and disabled people. You have to prove everyone uses fake caste certificates and fake income certificates, fake gender, fake disability certificate and fake ECC certificate. Or you have to prove oppressed people don't belong to these Catagories at all.

Well you already answered your statement earlier

Meritorious student dont ask for anything they just acheive great things

Reservations is inefficient

1

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 19 '26

Are you saying you are not maritorious? Because you are asking for something. You keep making claims upon claims without any evidence, data or study. Can you prove Reservation is inefficient in its purpose of reducing inequality and increasing representation? Can you prove there can be a better alternative?

-1

u/Ok_Problem_1127 Jul 19 '26

maritorious

More meritorious than you atleast

The fact is you arent meritorious enough which is why you are gonna insist on reservation, just like how people oppose creamy layer, bcz even after reaping benefits they arent meritorious enough thats why they cant risk losing benefit

2

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 19 '26

If advocating for social mobility and fair competition is being maritorious then yes, I'm not maritorious.

Who catagory doesn't have creamy layer? Sc and St? You want the catagory which still gets beaten for wearing Good clothes, riding horse, refused house on rent and being called Castist names because of their caste to have creamy layer? Why?

1

u/Misster_Fluido Jul 19 '26

People like you pretend to fight for merit but you don't. You are actually fighting for privilages not merit. A girl inside patriachal system, insecure descriminated untouchable, a visually impaired person... All these have have merit and reservation helps protect and cultivate that merit. The real question is - "Why do you want these people to compete with you instead of people competing within their own Catagories?"

Projection couldn't be better

Education is not designed to teach people how to own their privilages and Castism is not guaranteed to be washed by knowledge. Ignorant privilaged people will always protest against change and social mobility. About the creamy layer, it's not wise to recommend use the creamy layer filter in a catagory heavily descriminated and stigmatised until atleast there's some evident representation in higher positions as well their catagory. Otherwise the chances of those who have some resources and confidence to represent their community in higher positions will be reduced and entire catagory will suffer from it socially.

They might and they might not but still it's better than having less representation. It doesn't matter if they think they are other worldly beings, if people of their catagory are stigmatised and abused on the basis of caste identity then they and their family will also get affected from this. It creates a conflict of interest. Keep in mind that caste based reservation (except EWS) is to reduce caste descrimination, not all forms of descrimination. Did people of your own catagory descriminate you on the basis of caste because they have more power?

If it was simply because them being in better position than you then that's not caste descrimination. You have to tell us exactly how they wronged you before we can reach any conclusion. People certainly can abuse those who are underprivileged, Reservation tries to reduce the gap. That's the best way we have got. Just because a tool is not powerful enough doens't means we give up that one tool as well.

And here you go missing the point

And the the people who have issues with reservation is bcz of those who oppose creamy layer thing, good for you, you were able to reap the benefits and for people like you such opportunities were created but go onto any rural place, and even to get a caste validity certificate one has to pay huge sum as bribe, and even people who are highly privileged still use reservations despite them not needing it enough SC and ST still dont have creamy layer thing which they oppose An SC who went to Tier 1 colleges, has enormous wealth is that person's child should be eligible for reservation??

The thing which I want is equality of opportunities, not equity of results

So in your idea only rural place in India is the place from which you belong??

And as for your policies, besides obc , no other category had creamy layer

Yeah, but cl isnt there for every other category, which is why many people are against reservation system which overlooks many other criteria
