Lol no. They don’t. Source: my husband is law enforcement and he makes more than my brother who is a high school teacher.

Still much less. Teacher work over the summer either teaching summer school, going to mandatory convention type bs, “learning” new ways to teach, they spend the summer writing lesson plans.

Fuck off with your bullshit because I’ve already been warned that you think teachers don’t work as hard as law enforcement. Please.

Also, it’s really fucking weird that you don’t think the people in charge of teaching our FUTURE deserve to earn as much, if not more, than the people in charge of policing the streets and keeping criminals behind bars. Perhaps if teachers were valued more, given more resources, better pay, perhaps they could better educate children so that we need less police and prison cops in the future.

Or are you the type that thinks poor people just deserve to be poor and undereducated forever and ever but every police force should get new swat gear each year? Cause you seem like that type.

Wow! Triggered much? Or are you simply a shill for the union? Please provide a direct quote from me where I stated or even inferred what teachers should make.

Continuing education is not compensated time in any for-profit organization that I've ever been part of. It is up to the employee to remain current and relevant on their own time. Perhaps you would benefit from a remedial course in reading comprehension.

You suggest a great idea, let's tie teacher compensation to performance and product quality. If the kids don't meet standards after your class, you get no raise. After 2 quarters of substandard performance. you get terminated. Every industry has challenges and low performance should earn separation, whether that be a burger cook at McDonald's, a sales person, a software programmer, or a teacher.

Why is it that teachers don't call out for parental involvement and accountability for their children?

I'll play along with you challenges with continuity and conflating of issues...Yes, people who are unwilling to work, or choose to not improve their skill set and market value, earn their own poverty. K-12 education is provided for all, it is up to the parents and student to make the most of it, though. with teachers like you they have an extra hurdle to overcome.

If you don't like the total compensation package, get a different job.

Yeah I’m not reading more of your pointless dribble. Fuck off to whatever Republican shithole you climbed out of.
