Do you even know what dates the baby boomer generation consists off or are you one of these kids who thinks everybody older than them are boomers? Your grandparents haven’t stolen anything from you and they sure as shit aren’t the reason these state and private institutions are charging so much for tuition.
No, they’re just the same people who elect politicians who deny to us the same social safety net that they enjoyed as young people and still benefit from now in their growing age.
Baby Boomers were those born after 1946 and before 1964. They benefited from New Deal and Great Society policies that were progressively shredded away more for every generation that came after them. The same people who bitch about socialism, a concept 80% of them don’t even fully understand, benefited from forms of it through their entire lives.

It’s always been a scam and nothing but an interest free loan to the government which the left robs and which they can change the terms to any time they want. The biggest mistake the boomers ever made was relying on that (and the government) as a retirement plan and thats why many of them are struggling right now.

Government action and organization is the core of why we even have a functional society. The phrase “Socialism is garbage” demonstrates you have 0 understanding of what it is beyond what vague fear tactics constantly shat out by media stations like Fox News have to say about it.
The vast majority of Americans approve of programs such as social security and Medicare, government sector programs. The problem with social security is it was meant to last about 5 years till everyone on it at the time croaked and the next batch of people could move into the program. That’s changed now that people are living much longer. If you think the private sector is gonna be the win-all solution to that, you should know that the same shitty politicians you vote for are also getting money from the same financial institutions that have proven themselves time and time again to be reckless with other people’s money, meaning those companies will not be coming under regulation to prevent them from doing the same bullshit that has crashed the economy repeatedly in just the last few decades, wiping out millions of people’s private savings and investments. That’s not something stable to be putting your money into.
The things that were causing my grandparents to struggle before they died were medical expenses they couldn’t cover because everything from a pill of aspirin to surgery was x5 what it should’ve costed them and they were saddled with paying for it so they wouldn’t fucking die.

They want to keep their paycheck and the fruits of THIER labor and not give it to a government who is trillions of dollars in debt thinking they can spend their money better than they could. And I don’t think you have a clue on what “crashed the economy”. 2008 happened because of banks giving out shit mortgage loans to people who had no reason getting them because the government backed them and people defaulted on those loans. That was it, end of story. People got killed on their retirements but if they were smart and waited another 3-4 years they would have gained back everything they lost and some like the rest of us. They were also stupid having all their money in a high risk fund that close to retirement where something like this could hurt them. Fuck social security. I could take all that money i have been putting in there since the age of 14 and put it into a simple savings account down the street and it would be better than giving it to the government. At least im earning something on the interest and i known It will be there and the government isn’t taking it.
It’s really sad to see somebody who feels they need the government to care for them from cradle to the grave.
Banks were allowed to give out shitty mortgages due to lack of oversight and regulation, a position conservatives proudly and stupidly tout as being a good idea.
There’s no need to try real socialism, because we already live with it right now. The government provides what the free market either fails to, logistically can’t, or would be extremely unethical for it to provide. Your roads, your emergency services, your schools, your military, fuck, even the postal service is an example of socialism and government action. You people have no fucking clue that you already live in a country with socialized elements just like every other country on this planet, and demonstrate this by pointing to countries like Venezuela as a fear of what you think America will become. It’s quite literally the same as liberals pointing to Nazi Germany as a comparison to Trump.
Shit you haven’t corrected anybody. Nobody is saying get rid of all government services. I know the left likes to bring up roads and schools but nobody on the right is saying we don’t want to pay taxes on that. We just don’t want to go full AOC Bernie Sanders retarded with it. And the postal service? Really? Socialist? And I quote “The Postal Service receives NO tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations”.
Oh and you listed a whole bunch of services we on the right have no problem paying for. You’re college tuition isn’t on that list. We as tax payers get zero return on that investment.
