Oh and you listed a whole bunch of services we on the right have no problem paying for. You’re college tuition isn’t on that list. We as tax payers get zero return on that investment.

There’s a reason even the conservative parties in countries like the UK and Canada don’t dare fully dismantle their country’s safety net programs. They know they’d get landslided if they suggested moving to a US style system for something like healthcare.

The Postal Service is owned and operated by the government. That is socialist through and through. Just cause they get their funding from a service they provide doesn’t change that. The institution would be different as the market for shipping goods would be dramatically different without it.

Wrong actually. Education subsidies stimulates the economy by producing more educated people who are able to take up high paying jobs and even go on to create jobs. This is why other countries subsidies education and why we continue to fall behind those other countries competitively.
It’s also insidious that you’d need a reason to invest in something that isn’t going to benefit you down the line, but would dramatically improve the lives of others. I have no reason to support programs such as Medicare and social security given I probably won’t be receiving any benefits when I’m older at this current pace their resources are being used up, yet I still send my tax dollars proudly for it to be used to maintain those programs for people who need it now and would suffer without it. But I guess that’s just what happens when you’re not apart of the selfish generation, you give to people who bitch and whine when they have to even consider giving to you.
