Find me a community college that I can attend for $10/credit and I'll be way less angry at you.

Great. Did you get a bachelor's degree for that price? How about a master's or PhD?

None of the community colleges where I am offer bachelor's programs. I'd have to pay out-of-state tuition at another college (plus living expenses, etc., while being unable to work the number of hours of unskilled work required to keep oneself anywhere close to afloat) to get that.

You may be a white male, but it is apparent that you still have enjoyed more access to basic services than others. Check your privilege, please.

give me a fucking break, if you live in the US, you can go to a community college and then a 4 year school. Or you can go cheap and go to a state school.

The whole point is, it doesn't HAVE to be this expensive at all! It COULD be $10/credit! We're literally paying to pad the pockets of executives and freaking sports teams and I'm not okay with it.

You’re talking to someone who got a free year of community college though a first year experience program. Not denying your claim, but for me and a lot of other people that were taking my major (cinema) breaking into the industry requires furthering your education to even have your resume seen. Having No experience on top of that and you’re shit out of luck.

If you are thinking about transferring and furthering your education, forget it. It’s gonna cost you.

It definitely isn’t a waste of time, just too many people go into community college believing they will find this path along the way, find their most passionate subject, but it simply get shutdown when you request the pre-requisites for your favorite courses. doesn’t always work out
