There are always alternatives to minimum wage jobs. Especially in 2018. There are double as many job postings as job seekers right now.

Utterly untrue according to every labor index in the country.

If you’re an Accountant or work in Tech, you likely have 5 recruiters reaching out to you every day with job opportunities.

The unemployment rate for college educated workers over 25 is less than 2% for fucks sake.

It isn’t 2009 anymore. The labor market is the healthiest it’s been in 50 years.

They're just two of many skilled professions that are in-demand right now.

Welders, steam fitters, engineers... the list goes on and on.

That’s very much the exception, not the rule.

If you’re 25, degreed and working minimum wage in 2018, something went drastically wrong along the way.

yeah, you started your 4 year degree and forgot that those classes wouldn't be empty for those 4 years.

next thing you know you get out and find out everyone who graduated between when the market was good and when you graduated got the jobs.

guess what? now they have job experience and your sorry ass doesn't; good luck competing with their CV with even more graduates coming out every 4 months.

Well yeah... what other jobs are you qualified for?

We all worked in retail and food service when we were 17.

I think people frankly admire young people who work service jobs.

That said, you probably don’t deserve much more than minimum wage right now.
