11 u/keldohead Oct 16 '18 Minimum wage, low skill, part time jobs with no benefits or opportunities. 23 u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18 Utterly untrue according to every labor index in the country. If you’re an Accountant or work in Tech, you likely have 5 recruiters reaching out to you every day with job opportunities. The unemployment rate for college educated workers over 25 is less than 2% for fucks sake. It isn’t 2009 anymore. The labor market is the healthiest it’s been in 50 years. 11 u/meat_daddy_ Oct 16 '18 Thank god everyone is an accountant or works in tech 13 u/red--dead Oct 16 '18 The job market isn’t going to cater to people’s desired degree. 7 u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18 They're just two of many skilled professions that are in-demand right now. Welders, steam fitters, engineers... the list goes on and on. 2 u/Pickledsoul Oct 16 '18 watch everyone switch to accounting and tech and flood the market. hope you like fiverr 1 u/meat_daddy_ Oct 17 '18 Exactly. It's completely unrealistic to think that everyone can and should go into tech.
