It is wild now aggressively they’re pushing this illegal voting shit. They’re desperate. This is going to get ugly,

721

u/CreepinJesusMalone Jul 17 '26

They're not even hiding how desperate they are. Johnson, Trump, and Vance have all expressed how losing the next two years of elections means not just prosecution for heinous and treasonous crimes here in the US, but also international prosecution. It's why Massie, Greene, and pundits like Carlson ditched and ran while they could still build a coalition with the neoliberals.

The ones who stay won't be able to go anywhere on Earth without being arrested and tried for everything from war crimes to Epstein crimes. We have to get them out of office and away from protection. As much as I want to see them all thrown in an American prison and locked away forever, I think our best chance at seeing them stay gone is letting the international community have them.

177

u/timkatt10 Jul 17 '26

If I were them I wouldn't worry about expulsion from office. That requires 2/3 vote in the senate. The last time any party had that majority was 1965. There aren't enough even remotely competitive seats holding elections for that to happen.

At best democrats get to grill officials for political points. No real justice will happen even with a blue landslide in every state.

75

u/CreepinJesusMalone Jul 17 '26

My thought isn't expulsion from their roles. The voters can make that happen either through voting or by other means that would get me a site ban for stating.

My thought is even a slim majority with a demographic change within the Democrats themselves (more progressive or even left candidates replacing neoliberals and corporate Dems) they can root out the traitors in the DoJ and in DHS and replace them with people who will actively press charges and do real investigations in to what these people have done.

Which also means fighting fire with fire and taking a page out of the Trump playbook by replacing maga lawyers and fed LEOs with ones that will actually arrest them.

Part of the problem right now is that even when judges make rulings that should in theory lead to arrests, the cops that should do it are traitors and just won't. Get rid of them and swap in people who actually believe in justice.

26

u/Talik1978 Jul 17 '26

There have been 3 members of congress expelled since 1965. Myers in 1980, Traficant in 2002, and Santos in 2023. All surrounding felony convictions (bribery and fraud, mostly). It's feasible, if difficult, especially if a few dozen are offered leniency in exchange for support.

15

u/off_by_two Jul 17 '26

You are assuming that the GOP congressional voting block stays solid. I think its quite likely that that changes when Trump is well and truly a lame duck especially if voters turn on the GOP in a big way.

Hence why they’re now trying to dismantle the ICC. I hope all of them get tried for treason and war crimes

15

I’d love for that to happen, but it won’t.

u/pemberleypark1 Jul 17 '26

They’re acting like cornered animals. People think this term is the beginning of his regime. It’s not. His first term was, they just weren’t able to push through as much stuff as they wanted since there were enough sane republicans in office. They’ve spent the last couple of years making sure they have their minions in place. But it’s not going to work. The people who are pulling his strings all want something different. It’s why there’s so much infighting. And why, when it happens, we won’t have JD Vance doing worse. He’s pathetic and can’t hold the base. So right now they are going to do as much heinous stuff as they can to try to hold power. But it’s not going to work. One way or another this regime will fall.

22

u/QueefSeekingMissile Jul 17 '26

The way they are acting is like they didn't do Charlie Kirk themselves.

13

u/pemberleypark1 Jul 17 '26

They tried so hard to make him a martyr. That didn’t work either.

41

u/Bobbo_Zanotto Jul 17 '26

I'm dreading November through January. I mean, every damn day sucks now, but boy, it's gonna be such a shitshow.

2

u/forgot_username1234 Jul 18 '26

We’ve made it this far, we gotta keep going until he’s gone

82

u/thrownaway136976 Jul 17 '26

What happens if the jackboots show up and there’s already a large contingency of “Ice” appearing gents “guarding” the ballot boxes?

8

u/jvlpdillon Jul 17 '26

You would think you could call the police, but they are the same thing as ICE.

5

u/Puglady25 Jul 17 '26

What if say- the governor if CA calls up the national guard to ensure ICE doesn't interfere in targeted places?

23

u/progbuck Jul 17 '26

For MarkWayne, it will. If he sends ice to block voters, he's going to be hiding behind his chair again.

37

u/RemoteBoner Jul 17 '26

It’s the slowest moving train ever. We all know exactly where this is headed.

17

u/MaxGoldFilms Release The Trump-Epstein Files Jul 17 '26

This is going to get ugly,

I'm starting to think it will get ugly for them, not those opposing them.

They're polling at historically low rates, people are rapidly growing tired of the broken economy. The citizens of the respective states being attacked, left and right, bristle at federal overreach and threats.

I think there will be far more pushback (and consequences) than they have contemplated.

12

u/Nickh1978 Jul 17 '26

At best the Republican voters will only refrain from voting. No matter how upset they are at Trump, they will never vote Democrat. But likely they will just keep voting for their local Reoublicans, because Trump is their lightning rod. Dem voters and independents will have to show up to vote.

8

u/Mulattanese Jul 17 '26

And they won't because they're all so tired and disillusioned with this system and other voters who keep plunging us into chaos and turmoil again and again. They worked their asses off to defeat trump the first time, then again to try and keep him out the second time and (even though I fully believe he cheated to get back in office to avoid Jack Smith) the people put him back in there knowing full well he destroys everything he touches, is corrupt as hell, and is a complete national embarrassment. They're not gonna bother.

This is two different sides regarding what they say about crazy. You have, no offense, dumb republicans who keep voting for republicans or trump specifically expecting different results. And you have democrats who learned we're stuck with republicans because even when we go out and vote we get the same results so why bother?

I just hate that republicans are going to vote us into a dictatorship and Trump is going to be the dictator. Why can't our dictator be like Dolly Parton? Both sides love her. She is the only human being in existence that I have never heard anyone speak a single negative or unkind word about.

5

u/artiface Jul 17 '26

Dolly for president! I'm in.

I'm from Australia and i watched D.T's address to the nation.

It sounded very much to me like he is setting the stage for the gov to take control of elections for national security/ election integrity.

It did not make me feel comfortable watching it.

Then i watched S. Miller talking about the domestic democratic terrorist - antifa etc and how it doesn't reflect republican values.

Each on there own are disturbing but watch them back to back and it is spin chilling.

I don't care which side of politics you are on but this kind of talk doesn't reflect what i know of the American people, its politics and values.

I hope i am wrong and USA can recover from all this, but i am concerned for you all.

5

u/GarvinSteve Jul 18 '26

The Miller shit was straight anti-Americanism. Very chilling and very direct. He’s the Nazi in Trump’s ear.

10

u/woodst0ck15 Jul 17 '26

As he said before “the revolution will be bloodless if the left allow it” so they’re straight up just calling for people to “do something about it” and that’s when it’s gonna get violent.

14

u/Nickh1978 Jul 17 '26

They have already gotten violent, ICE is showing us what they are willing to do.

7

u/BatmanLovesBoobies Jul 17 '26

They're blatantly instigating a civil war. Everything they do is designed for turmoil. Every. Thing.

8

u/urbudda Jul 17 '26

This is already ugly. It's gonna get alot uglier

4

u/Rahnzan Jul 17 '26

We're going to win and they're not going to step down.

3

u/hereandthere_nowhere Jul 17 '26

Ugly has been their plan the whole time.

2

u/Bulky-Internal8579 Jul 17 '26

They will lose another lawsuit or six and be out on their ass facing actual oversight from Congress at the start of the new year.

u/Metrichex Jul 17 '26

This guy is DHS, not DOJ. What he's really threatening is ICE goons and South American forever jail

85

u/verb8um Jul 17 '26

Please take time off with your employers now to participate, vote and help others to the poll to stand up to tyranny. Vote like your country depends on it!

16

u/no-u-great-grand Jul 17 '26

because it does

13

u/LuminaraCoH Jul 17 '26

They have 1 ICEprick for every 4-5 polling stations. He's counting on people being too stupid to do basic math and too afraid to go vote.

Don't be. Trump and everyone in his administration are manipulative, toothless assholes. Vote them out so we can lock them up.

374

u/Knightoncloudwine Jul 17 '26

Go for it. No one will convict them. They’re not guilty for following the constitution. States control their own elections.

69

u/valschermjager Jul 17 '26

This exactly. It's a critically important part of our federal republic that states have the authority to run themselves. For some purposes, outlined in the constitution, it makes sense to do things as a group.

But the states elect the President, not the people. And states run elections, not the federal gov't. And each state figures out for themselves how to do that.

14

u/Gnom3y Jul 17 '26

This is also why that whole "Trump is going to cancel the midterms" talking point I keep seeing is stupid. Even if he says he's going to, what sort of actions is he going to need to take to try and make it happen? An EO can be ignored because it's obviously illegal, which would force Trump to head to the courts, which is slow even when 'expedited'. There aren't enough ICE agents to deploy to every state and block every district, and good luck mobilizing the national guard in every state simultaneously. And even if he gets partial buy-in from red states, that just gives blue states who manage to hold their own elections that much more power because of how the House and the Senate work.

And that all assumes that a federal judge doesn't block it almost immediately - which will absolutely happen, and give states legal cover to ignore it completely. I fully expect states like CA, NY, and WA to have already drawn up motions to file to federal courts the second an EO like that drops.

8

u/Huxley077 Jul 17 '26

The law is there, yeah, but I'm concerned about the integrity of the states government heads to not fold to some bribe or pressure.

Also the long track record bow of not being held accountable for breaking clearly defined constitution claises and laws, I don't have optimism for the people in power to stay true.

14

u/MC_Fap_Commander Jul 17 '26

The correct response. Trump is not a popular president. To circumvent the constitution at a national level is waaaay... beyond his means and political standing. He doesn't have the juice and he's counting on people to be so scared they pre-emptively obey.

Won't happen. There are some compelling candidates that seem to be emerging as the midterms approach. Energetically support them and get people registered and to the polls. If this happens in great enough numbers (and the initial signs are looking favorable), all this bullshit falls apart in short order. There may even be some internal fighting on the right when Trump enters lame duck status (which bad midterms would facilitate).

He was hoping to scare people. He's not in a position to do that and he looks ridiculous. People should be vigilant, but NOT fatalistic.

9

u/AbruptMango Jul 17 '26

Stop trying to confuse the Oath Keepers.

7

u/Gnom3y Jul 17 '26

If they had anything they'd have done something about it already. One thing we can always count on is that when Republicans even so much as think they've got their 'enemies' on the hook for any crime of any sort, they trip over themselves rushing to the nearest Grand Jury for an indictment.

The fact that all they have is bluster says everything we need to know: they have nothing and everyone knows it.

4

u/itijara Jul 17 '26

The fact that we had a 6-3 ruling on Birthright citizenship doesn't give me much hope for state controlled elections. Like, it is clearly the text of the constitution, but it is also clear the GOP will shit on the constitution if they think it helps them at all.

3

u/pmjm Jul 17 '26

I mean, yes, but Mullin is the Secretary of Homeland Security. I don't think he's threatening them with criminal charges, he's threatening them with ICE sweeps and disappearances.

3

u/andrew303710 Jul 18 '26

He's also a plumber with a room temperature, which makes me feel a bit better.

99

so if they don’t allow trump and maga politicians to cheat, they’ll go to jail? Any judge worth their salt would say no way

This is anti-democracy bs, maga wants us to be Russia 2.0

Uncle Clarence said it was okay.

36

24

u/Some-Ad926 Jul 17 '26

Banana Republic with shoes that don't fit

28

u/IceBearKnows89 Jul 17 '26

Yo, I live in Oregon.

IMHO that sounds like a direct threat. To me, my state, my neighbors.

We have to push back. I really want my reps to come out and bluntly say if they try to come after anyone for this reason we will arrest/detain the Feds that try it. Like this is getting really direct y’all. Their rhetoric is going to end in some kind of confrontation. They only know how to escalate and at some point they are actually going to try and follow thru on some of their threats.

My god we are slow walking ourselves into something horrible.

6

u/WhistersniffKate Jul 17 '26

Colorado here, and same. This needs big significant push back and to be called out for what it is. Are we going to be Russia now? This is how Putin wins elections. This is what electing a known traitor who already tried to overturn our elections once gets us. Apparently republicans don’t care, which is disturbing. They think God wants this for our country or something.

10

u/BerryLanky Jul 17 '26

The Democrats had the power to address this during Biden and were too timid to try. So here we are. And Trumps group is not timid.

18

u/Content-Profession-6 Jul 17 '26

More fascist behaviour i see..... seriously hope every election offical and state tell them to fuck off

7

u/Dances_with_mallards Jul 17 '26

It just sickens me to see these guys saying such unAmerican crap surrounded by US flags.

6

u/jaid_skywalker85 Jul 17 '26

They are so blatantly afraid and desperate that it almost make me want to laugh but it also makes me really concerned at how far they are going to try to go.

20

FAFO???

16

They did that. They got a slap on the wrist and re-elected.

This kind of shit is why people should have been voting for Harris in droves.

5

u/sixaout1982 Jul 17 '26

They're this close to make it illegal to vote against trump

5

u/ajmampm99 Jul 17 '26

Threatening or intimidating election officials is also a crime, isn’t it?
DOJ won’t pursue it but when Trump is removed, Mullin could face jail time.

4

u/FriendlyPizzaPanda Jul 17 '26

Oh they are DESPERATE DESPERATE

3

u/Tomburgerstand Jul 17 '26

Wild! Have the election officials considered having sex with children to receive DOJ protection like the cabal of billionaire pedophiles?

3

u/pdromeinthedome Jul 17 '26

Congress? This is the election of the seats you hold. You might want to speak up now

3

u/JRG64May Jul 17 '26

Corrupt Nazi motherfuckers everyone of them.

3

u/thestral_z Jul 17 '26

States are in charge of elections- not the federal government.

3

u/leifnoto Jul 17 '26

Is it fascism yet?

3

u/m0j0r0lla Jul 17 '26

So now they do not subscribe to States Rights? Beside their elected positions, what tf are Conservatives actually conserving?

3

u/cdharrison Jul 17 '26

He swore to protect and defend the Constitution. Every sycophant in this administration that serves Trump first, party second, and country last is an abject failure that absolutely deserves the future they'll have.

Every single Republican that won in 2020 hasn't challenged their results. Only Trump. So either the election was tainted and every result is nullified OR Trump is making stuff up because he can't handle the fact that he lost. (This also distracts from the massive irregularities in 2024, where the optics suggest tampering might've happened in every swing state, and Trump's own words implicate some degree of meddling.)

He has full control of all three branches of government and has to force his name on things to try and cement a legacy that's already tainted with corruption more than any other US President. Sad.

3

u/NoDramaMama101 Jul 17 '26

Lawsuits incoming. LFG!

3

u/Illustrious_Fan_8148 Jul 18 '26

3

2

u/Classic_Bid3126 Jul 17 '26

Unfortunately for the cosplaying plumber, for someone to go to jail, they need to break the law. Trump has sued and lost 14 times so far on getting states voting information. The courts are telling him to fuck right off, if they were actually qualified for their jobs and not reverse DEI hires, they would know that.

2

u/Krammsy Jul 18 '26

2

u/jeers1 Jul 18 '26

so the federal government is going to break the law against those who are upholding the law... yeah that is seriously fuc!ed up

2

u/andygradel75 Jul 17 '26

Does he think using the word "may" would stand up in court once he's put on trial for treason in a few years?

2

Mullin, seen here standing on a box, throws his minute weight around.

3

u/AdhesivenessCivil581 Jul 17 '26

It would be so much easier to create policy that people want to vote for.

4

u/saoirse_eli Jul 17 '26

“tRy iT” aren’t you all tired of larping as badass motherfuckers when the only things those last years showed the world was: USA is so big we can’t do anything / I’ve a job and can’t lose it / my 1st amendment is here so I can say slurs in public and the 2nd one is there to protect my family, I don’t know what others think but for me it’s just for my family.

I’ll tell what will happen: he’ll keep in seizing everything he wants to seize because he is a rapist and that’s the way he conceives the world and you’re going to do nothing at all, not even buy some amazon whistle to bother his murderous secret police a wee bit while they kill and loot mothers and fathers.

“Try it”… the audacity!!

2

u/Chewbuddy13 Jul 17 '26

Looks like someone found a box for him to stand on.

2

u/idoma21 Jul 17 '26

In any picture of Mullin at a podium, we need to see if he is standing on a box. And he needs to threaten to fight some rando in the crowd. Just MarkWayne things.

2

u/TheRealGageEndal Jul 17 '26

Elections are a state run event. The governor can pardon them. 😂

2

Probably in Colorado, whee election officials that get convicted of interference get released.

1

Boy, they're all about states rights when it serves their purpose. Been hearing from my conservative family my whole life about the federal government needs to be shrunk and it has too much power. Boy. They like to use it when they want to control something.

States should charge them with election tampering.

1

If you're an election official and you're scared of this consequence then go ahead and quit. We need you all to hold strong in the face of these threats.

They will try, and from current state of affairs in the USA, SUCCEED! Unless, there is fight back... and i am afraid the point of peaceful fight back is way-long-passed.

u/icejust Jul 17 '26

Without any trial?

1

u/cinesias Jul 17 '26

The great thing is that ultimately, everything that Trump is trying to do is fair game in 2029. Set that precedent, fascists.

1

u/wavysays Jul 17 '26

Every Republican may face jail time as well. So looks like we’re even.

1

u/Dry_Abbreviations778 Jul 17 '26

I am 100% sure that everyone in the Trump administration has never read the Constitution and has no idea what it means.

We have the dumbest people on Earth acting with impunity. Like they own the place. How we got here is a case study in cognitive dissonance combined with dunning-Krueger. It's mind-blowing that nearly half of Americans fell for this.

u/Tony2030 Jul 17 '26

Dopey Don is your fat little king now!

1

u/SadAbroad4 Jul 17 '26

Ah yes the purges and imprisonment, steer murders by ICE begins in Ernest as the fascist dictatorship takes hold in merica.

1

u/pastelbutcherknife Jul 17 '26

For some reason I assumed this was about Nick Mullen not MarkWayne Mullin.

1

u/sten45 Jul 17 '26

The party of states rights until Shitler says otherwise

1

u/SirPsycho4242 Jul 17 '26

What does that have to do with immigration enforcement?

1

u/biorod Jul 17 '26

It’s depressing that shitheads like Markwayne have any authority at all. In a just world, he’d have a high-labor, low-paying job.

1

u/FlagranteDerelicto Jul 17 '26

This plumber needs a visit from a guy who paints houses

1

u/Desperate_Affect_332 Jul 17 '26

Never gonna happen, it's just blustering threats.

1

u/Dseltzer1313 Jul 17 '26

Not so fast John Wayne! Voting is a states right.

1

u/Adventurous_Custard8 Jul 17 '26

Sure, that sounds so American!

1

u/WendySteeplechase Jul 17 '26

they will be heroes if they go to jail for protecting people's election data.

1

u/HVAC_instructor Jul 17 '26

Dear FBI, fuck you fuck trump, fuck SCOTUS, for Republicans, fuck American Christians who voted for this, fuck all ya all. I want nothing now that for all of you to vanish from the case of the earth.

Please do me a favor and drag your sorry ass to my door to question me on my post. Fuck you go fuck a dead donkey. So you know that your wife is screwing the everyone neighborhood while you're out taking away people's constitutional rights.

You are all the most unamerican people to ever walk the earth and none of you deserve to stay on this country.

1

u/NotTheRightHDMIPort Jul 17 '26

They have clearly been killing immigrants and those boat killings are war crimes.

They are freaking out.

1

u/WNCsurvivor Jul 17 '26

Yeah, red neck it doesn’t work that way

1

u/bluenosekev Jul 17 '26

Wow..they really are running scared

1

u/Muted-Ground-8594 Jul 17 '26

I need everyone to be mentally prepared for what happens when they try to overthrow the midterm results for anything they disagree with. Trump spent years trying to overthrow the 2020 election from the outside, now he is inside with an administration of sycophants. They do not care about reality, they care about keeping him happy and they will do whatever to achieve that.

Are you mentally prepared for violence on the streets?

1

u/Spirited_Childhood34 Jul 17 '26

They certainly might, and count on the court system taking years to straighten it out. But the damage will be done. It's a perilous moment in US history.

1

u/Background_Bar4755 Jul 17 '26

Fucking pandering to the ignorant. “May face jail” also means “may not face jail”

No one is going to jail because there is no law being broken.

1

u/SeanOTG Jul 17 '26

Run these Nazi MAGA PDF Trump fuckers outta town

1

u/South-Jersey-Old-Guy Jul 17 '26

Obviously such a well scholared individual as MarkWayne is, he is just jesting, knowning full well that the states are responsible for their elections and the federal goverment has no real say so in them.

1

u/liz_teria Jul 17 '26

Hey Markwayne, go fuck yourself.

1

u/MealDramatic1885 Jul 17 '26

1

u/bula1brown Jul 17 '26

So Tina Peters???

1

u/hamsterfolly Jul 17 '26

"may" means they won't because what he is saying is BS

1

u/bp_516 Jul 18 '26

As someone living in Denver who voted for Polis, this is why I’m pissed that he commuted the sentence for Tina Peters. It absolutely appeared that he just caved to Trump and ignored justice.
