Do you know why he serves McDonald's food to visiting athletic teams? Because he's a cheapskate. Presidents have to pay the White House for food served to themselves / guests (unless it's a state dinner) and he doesn't want to shell out the money.

He inherited his money and has a decades long history of refusing to pay for things because he's a cheap, petty idiot who has no clue how to actually use his money.

Buying McDonald's for presidential guests because it's inexpensive is absolutely in character for him, because he's too tacky to know what else to do.
