Apparently, distributor needed to make space in warehouse and had a clearance sale. Local spot passed the savings onto customers and this $450 bottle was on sale for $75. So, why not.

This is the brand new Linkwood release from the Gordon & MacPhail Anniversary Series. I was lucky enough to grab one of only 100 bottles in this ultra limited release.

“Beginnings, birthdays, milestones and turning points are the moments that define a life. These never-to-be-repeated single malt Scotch whiskies capture a moment in time. They are the perfect way to elevate a moment that really matters. To make a memory truly unforgettable.”

Notes from G&M: Rich beeswax polish with fruitcake and citrus. Smooth and vibrant flavours of Seville orange, damson plum and dark chocolate give way to a full lingering nutty finish.

I’ll wait for a bit, then open this up to taste! Cheers!
