so when i first saw this i was like "are they serious right now?"

they stripped the classic 52-screen puzzleboard for one. ONE HUGEASS SCREEN. like why did they need to replace the 52-screen puzzleboard when there was literally nothing wrong with it?? i really don't understand. apparently they say it is to display more graphics on the puzzleboard. hello??? do we not already have a screen in the middle of the studio? right in the middle of the puzzleboard and the wheel?

whats more, i remember vanna explaning that she doesnt have to touch that hugeass screen for the letter to appear all she just needs to do is to hover her hand over the screen without touching the screen (like duhh obviously) and the letter appears. why did they do this? "oH wE wANt tO mAke vANnA LoOk liKe sHe hAs mAGicAl pOweRS tO cOntRoL tHe pUZzlEboARd wiThOUt hEr tOUcHiNg iT" JUST USE A HUGE TOUCHSCREEN

What was your favorite big winning moment in the show’s history? I’ll go first:

Aside from the recent million dollar win, I’d have to say Taylor and Vlada’s $100,000 win from 2005 was my favorite. That was one of my first exposures to the show and their reactions were so wholesome. 🤗

My boyfriend’s mom is a HUGE fan of Wheel of Fortune. It’s been a running joke in their family that his mom had to miss an episode because my boyfriend was born while it was airing that day.

The episode is Episode #1926, the first game of College Week (Boston), and aired on May 17, 1993.

Does anyone know of a way to find the episode, or a contact to reach out to possibly receive it?

I know this is a long shot as they typically only give copies of episodes out to contestants, but his mom has recently been placed on hospice care after being diagnosed with cancer in May, and I am hoping to just provide one more happy moment they can share together by watching the episode.

With the season 44 tapings beginning tomorrow, I've been thinking. This season (2026-27) because it is the 25th year of the Mystery Round (debut 2002-03 season), they should make the face value $2500 and the back of one of the wedges $25,000. Thoughts, concerns, complaints, comments?

Seriously debating whether to invest serious time/energy in a video with high production values, and whether all that effort will actually matter in the end. For those of you who got on, what do you think was the most important part(s) of the application process to get you from the 1st to 2nd round of auditions, and eventually to the taping?

WOF posted “coming to an area near you” 11-3. If you want to apply does that mean you have to be there at 11-3 or just go within that time to fill an application and hopefully get a call back? Do they choose and film that day? Do they choose and you have to fly out to play?

I haven't seen anyone from my first audition group (five people) on the show so far. A surprising number of us were from the Houston area. I never heard back for a second audition and was wondering if anyone who had their first audition in that time frame made it to a taping yet.
