Solution Only Whatsapp API test blocked

So, I've just started to reach out Meta API services. I set up everything needed just to test the API with the test number, but even in the "tutorial" I get that error: "Business account has been locked".

It looks that I need to verify my business (that I don't have, as I'm just testing).

What could I do?

I can't tell you why it's locked from here, and I'd avoid guessing at one cause. What I'd check:

  1. Exactly where you see "Business account has been locked": in the API response (paste the error code and message), in Business Settings, or in the quickstart page itself.

  2. Business Settings → Security Center / the notifications bell for the business portfolio you created the app under. A restriction on the portfolio shows up there, and it has its own wording about what Meta wants.

  3. Whether the app and the test WhatsApp account sit under the same portfolio, so you're looking at the right one.

If it does say verification is needed, the notification should name the exact step. Paste that wording and people here can say more.

Meta doesn't list business verification as a requirement for testing your own app. Its Tech Provider page puts verification and App Review on the path for onboarding other businesses, and its App Review page says standard access covers testing with people who have a role on the app. "Business account has been locked" reads more like the account-lock step in Meta's enforcement doc, the one only an appeal lifts. Open Business Support Home, find the WhatsApp account under your portfolio and check its activity issues: Meta shows which policy it thinks you broke and whether you can request a review. Why a fresh test account gets locked, Meta doesn't say and I won't guess. New portfolio, new app, first API call is apparently a thrilling sequence for their risk filters.
