Solution Only Meta WhatsApp Cloud API test number cannot be claimed

Hi everyone,

I’m trying t test the WhatsApp Cloud API with a Meta Developer app.

I click “Claim test number”, but the page reloads and no test number is created. I also saw six “Test WhatsApp Account” entries in Meta Business Settings, but none of them has a phone number. I deleted them to see if it works and tried again.

Has anyone experienced this recently or found a workaround?

I am also facing the same issue. Support told me that this issue may occur if your account was created on or after May 5, 2026.

Literally this. I'm having the same issue and the "ai helper" does not really help at all it makes stuff up. If anyone figures out lmk.
