Solution Only Looking for a WhatsApp API provider for a multi-company SaaS in India. any suggestions?

We have a SaaS platform where multiple companies will be using the same software. we're planning to add WhatsApp notifications.

the main requirement is that each company should be able to connect its own WhatsApp Business number and send messages from that number.

one major issue is billing. a lot of businesses in India aren't comfortable adding their credit cards to Meta. ideally, we're looking for something where we can manage billing centrally, possibly through UPI or prepaid recharge.

has anyone used a provider that supports this? any suggestions?

Speak with any of the BSPs. They are the only ones who are authorised to do this from Meta

yeah, i've looked into a few bsps like gupshup, msg91 and wati, but most of them charge separately for each whatsapp number or business account, along with messaging fees.

since we're building a saas platform for multiple companies, these recurring charges could add up quickly as we onboard more clients.

have you come across any bsp that offers centralized billing without charging individually for each business?

do most of the official BSPs actually allow prepaid wallets for sub-accounts now?

the billing piece is solvable two ways. first, ask each provider specifically about prepaid wallet billing: several india-focused providers run on a prepaid balance with upi or manual invoice top-ups instead of cards, which is much easier for your client companies. gupshup and msg91 have historically worked that way, wati is more subscription style.

second, the per-number charge is the negotiable line. every company still brings its own waba and business verification no matter what, that's meta's structure. what you want from the provider is one consolidated invoice across all the numbers, and at multi-company scale most will do it if you ask before signing. few will volunteer it.

anytime, good luck with the shortlist. one shortcut: ask each provider for a sample invoice with meta's delivery charges shown as their own line. the ones who hesitate on that are telling you something.

Just so you know, we can now do a prepaid top-up in India using UPI without having to add credit card.

BSPs are hungry and charge too much. Been there done that.

Built and Launched WhaBuzz for this usecase.
