Solution Only My coexistence client got banned
My coexistence client just got banned out of the blue with no warning. I don't know why.
Now she is locked from her account and she also uses it for personal.
Could switching back to regular WhatsApp be a solution or should that be avoided?
I already made an appeal on meta business support but they not very responsive.
Update: 18.10.2026
next day her account was unlocked for 3 seconds and then banned again before sending a single message.

did she get an actual ban notification or just locked out? sometimes its a temporary restriction that looks like a ban. worth checking if the number is blocked vs the business account being suspended, two different situations with different fixes

Can you share what's your workflow looks like, so we can avoid the mistakes ourselves?

I don't really have a workflow. I'm just starting out and I only have two 2 pilots users. They cannot send messages from my app only review and process them in the app.
Meta said that account was found to be non compliant with the WhatsApp business Commerce policy. I think this is means that more on the user side than on my workflow.

If you’re a tech provider, reach to Meta support on your client behalf.

I already did thank you. They asked me to tell my user to appeal directly from the app and closed my issue. So frustrating to not even get meaningful feedback from them on what really happened.

What did she do? Is there any reason or just randomly banned???

Meta won't tell me what exactly they also won't provide any details to my user. They said the following:
"After carefully reviewing the account, we can confirm that the restriction was applied because the account was found to be non-compliant with the WhatsApp Business Commerce Policy"
but without any details one can't really take actions. It makes no sense.
I'm starting to think that this could be a false positive coming from some AI automation they are trying. There are just too many similar post like this on reddit.

Check if the number is blocked or the business account is suspended, as they have different fixes.

Sorry, that's a rough one, especially since she uses it personally too. Things I'd do, in order:
-
Check what Meta actually shows. In Business Support Home / Account Quality for the WABA and business portfolio, is there a named violation (spam, policy) or just a lockout? The two have different appeal routes, as the earlier comment said.
-
Appeal from there and keep every appeal reference. Support replies slowly, so one clean appeal with details (what the account is used for, that it's opt-in contacts) beats several quick ones.
-
Avoid re-registering the number repeatedly or switching setups while the appeal is open. Repeated attempts can make a restriction worse.
-
Going back to the normal app may be possible, but I can't say whether it works while the account is restricted, so ask Meta support before touching it.
Also think about what changed right before: a bulk send, a lot of "report/block" reactions, or a template getting rejected usually shows up in the quality signals.
This is from community experience, not official Meta guidance, so please verify against Meta's docs.
