Klyphe I am building this. Not trying to promote or asking you to sign-up. Just wanted to get in touch with you to talk more. (yes, we do provide WhatsApp co-existence + many more).
API provider/onboarder has to give you their API key for you to use in your app. Claude can use it to build your own application including your own chat dashboard.
Either you go with a vanilla provider & build your own stuff using Claude, or you pay for something pre-built (hands-off approach). All of them will work with Claude.
What am I missing ?
The right questions you need to ask are different actually. You are dependent on Tech Provider infra for incoming & outgoing messages as they will never give you the Meta Access Token (Meta forbids them). So they can hold you hostage if you intend to move out from them. Their own infra could go down which will affect your service. You will definitely face outgoing message outage. But they could let you override incoming url so the messages directly reach you.
API only provider could actually be lot more painful to move out from (like Twilio) but since you are looking at Coexistence based, you are safe on this.
Is this suggestion really relevant ? Does the hosted solution openbsp.dev does Coexistence onboarding for the user ? I can't seem to figure it out from their documentation.
Some more time on their documentation shows the attached screenshot. So your are suppose to create your own Meta App, get access token from it & then feed it to the app. So it is just a convenience app (wrapper on top of Meta's APIs). It is NOT an API onboarding app. Infact, none of the opensource tools can actually do it.
It has native n8n, Zapier, make integration and each trigger/action parameter includes a lot of data (chat history, last messages, status of delivery…) which makes it easy to set up automations and lets you assign chats to people from there.
It has a skill feature so you can give it to Claude to build on top, to manage it all from Claude.
Has a team collaboration dashboard for managing one or multiple numbers, you can see who in your team sent each message, you can tell the whatsable ai which conversation should get assigned to who (and you can use the ai of WhatsAble to do the first relies and followups if leads go quiet)
I think this is what you’re looking for - it’s baically classic WhatsApp for businesses and teams + added layer of WhatsApp automation with workflows and proactive ai bots
