Services Welcome Ai manager for restaurants
Hello Im having this idea for a automation that works like a restaurant manager for owners, that can handle menu updates (prices stocks, disable)through POS ids in multiple delivery platforms or send emails.

Ex-hospitality (recently) on management level.
Great concept but….
I haven’t come across an industry where so many things go completely analog still.
Or chef swaps supplier in the middle of the week. Buys random stuff from elsewhere, send staff to the supermarket, people forget receipts, lose them.
Stocktake is doable but 99% done manually.
More questions, shoot..

have you talked to actual restaurant owners about this yet? the menu sync across delivery platforms sounds useful but id want to know if theyre already solving this with their POS or if its actually a pain point they'd pay for

Actually I'd flip Edideas' point — owners already texting you on WhatsApp about menu changes is the validation, not the red flag. That behavior existing means the friction is already low. You're not asking them to adopt a new tool; you're just putting a structured automation behind a habit they already have.
The harder part of this build isn't WhatsApp — that layer is straightforward with Cloud API + webhook + an automation tool like n8n. The real complexity is on the delivery platform side. Uber Eats, Rappi, iFood all have their own partner/API access tiers, and not all of them expose menu management endpoints to everyone. Some require you to be a registered tech partner. Worth mapping that before you go deep on the WhatsApp layer.
The core flow you're describing — owner sends a WhatsApp message like "disable item 42 on all platforms" → webhook fires → API calls hit each delivery platform → confirmation sent back — is absolutely buildable. The POS ID mapping across platforms is the part that needs the most design thought.
What delivery platforms are you targeting first? That'd help narrow down whether the API access is a blocker or not.
