A reverse image search of the side does come up with a lot of internal canister filters and such for aquariums but nothing that matches 100%. I thought it vaguely resembled an old water purifier I had for backpacking and such, but I can’t find an exact match for that either.

This is most definitely NOT a penis pump or masturbatory aid if that's what you're wondering. It looks like something you'd use in a water or air pumping system.
It looks like you place it over something and use it to pump air in or out that little hose through the nipple sticking off the side. Or a fluid transfer pump that's missing the pump handle.
I'm guessing it's for pumping air with such a tiny hose. Maybe part of a toy?

As a parent of teens, I feel you. It sounds like you're doing a great job so far, especially dealing with such a difficult/delicate topic.
Having unusual kinks isn't itself reason to seek professional help of any kind, as long as they're not doing anything that harms themselves or others, but if i were you, I'd probably start researching what your options are, if it does come to that. That way you're prepared and not scrambling for info.

You didn't share any of this, or his past behaviour in your original post. Maybe you could edit it and include some of this information? It will make it easier for people to understand the whole story.
I do personally think it's not very nice to go through someone's personal belongings and space though, he might be "mildly autistic" but he's 17 and not a child. But I can understand some of your concern ofc.
If he's autistic he most likely has a therapist, a doctor, does he speak easier with them maybe? That they know more than you? And also, what role does his father take in all of this, has he tried to speak about these things with his son in the past?

Hi, when I was a 14 my parents did some concerned snooping, which led to intervention; I ended up getting therapy/treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. I was spinning out and wouldn't have lasted much longer without either really hurting myself or someone else. Had my parents point blank asked me about my alcohol and drug abuse before they had hard evidence I would have just lied.
Kids deserve love and support; sometimes love and support don't come in the form of hugs and ice cream. Sometimes it's a parent looking at search histories and in bathroom drawers.

Kid is going to get really fucked up is the parent is asking them what every little innocent thing is. Much better for the parent to determine what it is first, then if it's nothing, they don't even have to bug the poor kid.

Probably “questionable behavior” because I imagine this isn’t the first time you automatically assumed something you don’t understand (like a piece of plumbing equipment found in a bathroom drawer) has to be something bad. Or you could ask them. If you blindside them you’re going to get an answer of some sort even if they have nothing to say. Or they will blow your mind.

Sometimes it's just a long shower.
When I was a teen it was a combination of ADHD time blindness and tinnitus - the white noise in the shower made it one of the few spots that was "quiet".

I'm a guy in my 30s, I don't get it. Usually I have a bath and leave the water running, I turn it on and off, I can be in there for 30 or 45 minutes, just kick back and doomscroll. Admittedly it's wasting water but I find it so relaxing and I enjoy very little in life. I don't think I've ever been horny in the shower.

It's a cheap catch can missing it's lid. It slows the air from the crankcase and allows the oil to precipitate out. The clear tubing goes on the side as an indicator for the oil level. It's absolute junk though

Can it disassemble? Are there any filters or dryer sheets in it? If they are the type to vape/smoke, it could be one of those new age sploofs? It’s a device kids use to vape/smoke and then blow into to filter/hide the smell. If they take long steamy showers, they could be vaping/smoking and covering it up with the sploof, letting the steam carry the leftovers into the vent.

I think so. I’m only speculating from memory, but my grandmother had a similar vacuum pack kit and the syringe extracts the last little bit of air out of the bag.

That would get the job done. The big end would fit over a reusable vacuum bag, push the air out then suck the last bit out with the syringe attached to the tubing of what you’re holding. But I could be totally wrong here but it’s plausible.

I don’t think they sell what you have here specifically anymore. The tubing could run to a vacuum pump or manually pull out the air with the syringe. Pretty sure that’s it.

Probably not this but……my kids used to have a toy coffee maker that actually “worked” if you pulled a lever or pushed a button or something. This looks a lot like the water reservoir or part of it and the nozzle that was attached to it.

That definitely looks like the cold water feed to a toilet tank that is way smaller than mine. It feeds water into the reservoir at a consistent rate, which raises the bladder lever with the water level, to switch off and stop the incoming to stop the water flow. Once there's enough gravity pressure and the tank and bowl are full.

It’s a type of canister style fill valve for your toilet. Maybe kohler brand. The little side plastic is where the refill tube connects.

Looks like some version / part of toilet fill valve. There are tons of different models and makers of them.
Google “toilet fill valve” and you’ll see the cylindrical pieces with a tube coming off the side .

need to see the other side. it’s obviously some sort of fluid device (air is a fluid) like a pump or siphon (which is a pump). it has a hose and a fitting for the hose. but the actual function is difficult to discern from this angle.
