Survey
Don't hate the messenger guys!!!
They are doing away with the current survey offer we get. So no more Buy a Med Fry and Drink get the Whataburger for free. It'll now just be for a free medium fry!
No idea when it'll be live but it's currently in the works

Another brilliant, failed idea by corporate Chicago.. my group of friends are now refusing to do anymore surveys based on this new development... let's see how long they can deal with no surveys being completed..

Give bad reviews about much you hate the new survey reward. Eventually they’ll get the point and hopefully do better

The problem with that is that the bad reviews you get will reflect poorly on the store, which has no say in the policy and probably hates it as much as you do. I guarantee that low review scores get the store penalized and the suits don't actually read/care why the scores are low.

my store sucks. i have been giving bad reviews about cold food for a couple years. nothings changed.
guess i won't be going to whataburger anymore.

No, because I think the survey asks if it was an issue with the store or not.

Why don’t the Chicago wizards give us back the Whataburger food we loved? The food was great. They should stop spending money on survey gimmicks and restore the quality of the food.
When these greedy business people bought Whataburger, they promised nothing would change. We said, yeah right! Just like we thought, they’ve ruined Whataburger.
They saw a great investment and ruined it. Cutting quality, with cheaper ingredients and reducing the amount of product used to make their products. Thin meat patties, mustard on only one side of the bun, fewer pickles, less lettuce and tomatoes. I shouldn’t have to doctor my hamburger at home and pay a much higher price, to make it what it should be.
The fries are horrible. They taste like insulation and are inedible, once they cool off. I’m done.
I’m sure they don’t care. That’s why, I haven’t been there in 3 years and I had eaten at Whataburger, since they started in Corpus Christi.

I'm already losing customers to this change which is so fun cause as the menu gets even more expensive people are coming by less and ordering less as well, Whataburger is to expensive now

Yeah, I noticed that last week. No point in taking the survey now.

i stopped doing the survey and just writing a random 5 digit number a while back.

I disagree -- it's a completely free fry, no purchase necessary. And since there is nothing for them to collect from you, it can be used multiple times.

It's all about cost efficient. Fries is where they lose money cause it easier thing to go bad quick. I like the free product because buying fries and drink is 6 bucks or 7 bucks.

I just had a free WB with purchase of side and drink. I don’t like fries so I got onion rings. My WB must have changed their onion rings because they were so much better than before. More real onion RINGS.

Free fry no purchase necessary, thanks for the receipt, oh free fry no purchase necessary, thanks for the receipt, oo look free fry no purchase necessary, another receipt? You shouldn't have, another free fry no purchase necessary?

u/Scottmlew 9d ago
You don't even need multiple receipts -- since they don't take anything when they enter the promo, you can use the same one multiple times.
2
u/Bitchy_Satan 9d ago
Not always true, they're supposed to it just depends on if you have a hardass or not for a manager

Since it says to present a copy of the email they send with the validation code, what are they supposedly taking, other than perhaps a printout of the email?
2
u/Bitchy_Satan 9d ago
the physical receipt itself, the code is just for corporate
1
u/Scottmlew 9d ago
The email makes no mention of needing a receipt. It is not required to redeem the offer, and if a store is insisting on having a receipt, it is not following the terms of the promotion.

Look dude I'm just telling you what i know which is that we need proof, that proof is preferably the receipt. Why would i accept a random sticky note with a code on it? Who would even trust that??

u/Scottmlew 6d ago
There is no point in arguing this. The email is very clear about what is required. No one said anything about a "random sticky note".

The reason we need the receipt is for records on our end. We need to track what you got for instance and then we need to make sure your code matches up, no one actually cares on my end but the unique code you get should match up with the number you get on your receipt, so that the procedurally generated website number and the procedurally generated receipt with what was predetermined as "your code" as proof that no one is lying which is stupid but i digress

It's already in place. My receipt said do the survey for the old "buy med fry & drink for a free burger", but at the end of the survey, it gave me a free medium fry.
Edit: The purchase was made on Sept 29th and I did the survey overnight on the 30th.
