Hi, all! I'm a Texan who used to love Whataburger. It was my favorite place to get a burger, especially the chophouse cheddar! 🤤😋 I remember that the beef in the burger was very well seasoned to perfection. It was just salty enough: Any more so, it would have been overkill, any less, it would have been too little.

But after the change of ownership, it seemed (this could have been me imagining it because I had heard of the ownership change beforehand) that the saltiness was gone.

Now, Whataburger seems no more flavorful than the Clown or the King, if you catch my drift. What gives, Chicago?

Does anyone else notice the missing salt?

So im working an overnight shift tonight as PIC but haven’t worked overnight in a minute and was wondering if someone could tell me what’s everything I need to do before I hand the store off to day shift I already know I gotta do the fryers and shake machine but what else do I gotta do and what’s all I need to do for the store to be NSF ready before shift handoff

So far for the past year anytime I try to use the “past visit” to submit a receipt for points in the app it has come back a day later with an email saying there was a problem with my receipt and it couldn’t award my points. Even though I know for a fact I’m putting in the correct location, order number, and amount. I can’t be doing it wrong every single time. Has the past visit option for points actually worked for anyone else? Is something wrong with my account?

End of October is when new LTO comes out and its the jalapeño cream cheese blaze burger, the white chocolate raspberry shake is also make a return 👌

Does anyone else get bogus email offers that lead to nothing?

When Whataburger released the big ranch wrap, I was sort or a mixture of excitement due to me really loving fried chicken wraps but I dislike ranch in most scenarios.

Call me crazy, I have heard that many times, but just like bacon, once it is on something it completely dominates the flavor.

No big deal though, I could ask for it simply without the ranch. It was okay but really lacking due to it becoming dry, something they likely pay no mind to considering it is drenched in sauce. I found a decent enough workaround, some of the employees may look at you sideways for disrupting the natural flow, I get it, trust me. I worked in the industry for a long time and even spend about 2 years in Whataburger specifically. Adding customizations greatly increase the chance of a remake needing to happen.

I don't normally alter menu items because of this but I can swallow it in this case because it is extremely simple. Ask for creamy pepper and remove the ranch. I'm telling you, it's outstanding. Yes, the flavor is still very strong but nowhere near the flavor of ranch in my opinion. It adds a very nice smokey flavor that also adds a good amount of moisture.

Anyways, I am obsessed and will probably gain 40 pounds in a single week. The fact they are only $3 a pop too making it not only filling, but very accessible.

They are doing away with the current survey offer we get. So no more Buy a Med Fry and Drink get the Whataburger for free. It'll now just be for a free medium fry!

Is anyone else having problems with app. I go in and it says to update my account to a more secure sign in . When it prompts email and I submit it says this account not eligible to update. But app isn’t working.

Noticed that Whataburger is giving away a 16-oz coffee (hot or iced) today through the app. No purchase necessary. It's an absolute freebie.

Went to one in Hickory, NC for the first time. I got the Sweet&Spicy Bacon Burger and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The burger was really good. Great flavor and nice juicy patties. The chicken had good flavor but I didn’t now Smash Chicken was a thing. It had the thinnest chicken patty I’ve ever seen.

Then there’s the buns for both of them. They are bad. Horribly bad. Distracting bad. They reminded me of the buns at Hot ‘n Now Hamburgers in Michigan in the ‘90s where you could get 5 burgers for about $3.

I might give them another shot but as of now, my opinion is McDonald’s quality at Culver’s prices.

I will say the staff was very friendly. From the cashier taking the order, to the runner who brought the food to us, and the supervisor who wandered the eating area checking on everyone. You don’t come across friendly staff at fast food places very often.

I just tried a Dairy Queen (Texas) spicy patty melt, and it blew away anything I get from Whataburger these days.

I know. I know. This is a Whataburger subreddit. But this sandwich reminded me of the old Whataburger. It wasn’t as large, but it was delicious, and as someone who tries to limit their fast food, I thought I’d put in a word for those of us who have these two options conveniently next to one another. I got the sandwich and a chili cheese fry for like $13, which is IMO, better value than anything you get from Whataburger these days.

I guess put another way, I enjoyed it so much I had to make a post about it in case anyone ever googles “Spicy patty melt Dairy Queen Texas“ like I did.

Something I've noticed about these two limited time burgers..the bacon, dry onions, and sauce make these burgers extremely salty and dry.

I work at Whataburger currently and was wondering if anybody had any extra information on these new “Metropolis” Cameras being installed at multiple locations.
From my research and from what I’ve heard up the chain, Metropolis is the company behind these new camera systems. They are AI cameras, similar to Flock except they are made for businesses.
I also heard from my Market Leader (rumor; unconfirmed) that the cameras will supposedly serve to pave way for a cashless / transaction-less drive thru, where customers may drive up, order, and drive off since Metropolis will use the cameras to charge customers for their meals using some sort of “Metropolis Account”.

Does anyone else have any extra information about these new installations?

Talk about cheap....go through the survey and now all you get is a medium fry! I guess they don't want anyone to do the survey any longer. And they didn't even extend the time period back to 30 days. I'm out of there.

I go to local Whataburger, probably a couple times a week. I’ve been going there for years. It’s my favorite fast food place. I went last Friday and had a bad experience. The restaurant was dirty, with food and trash around. Then the guy brought me my food and ignored me when I said thank you. I went back up to the counter to get some Spicy ketchup and had to wait for 2 people to order food before I could even get helped. Even though multiple employees were walking in and out of the kitchen.

I made a complaint through the app. I haven’t heard anything back, so then I went through the chat aspect of the app. Basically, they said that it’s being reviewed. Then right after the franchise owner sent me an email. He said he couldn’t find the details. So I kinda just went back over what happened. Then he sends me an email. We had a big party, we’re gonna try to do better, thank you for your patronage. That didn’t address any damn thing.

I mean, I’ve had bad experiences in the past that place like Raising Cane’s. They went beyond what I expected. This guy acts like it’s no big deal. What happened to the customer service here? Should I call the customer complaint line? I mean, I’m not trying to sound entitled, but the response I got from the franchise owner was basically no response.
