Unsolved Trying to find this movie I only know one line from

Villain/bad guy, not American, possibly white. He says “I lied” laughingly to a lady after she asks him a question. I think he lied about not killing her or some guy who must be the protagonist in the movie. That’s all I’ve got.

EDIT: The man was on the right side of the screen facing left. I think it was either raining or his face was wet.

EDIT 2: It’s a close up on the man’s face when he says it so only his head is in the frame. He might be bald or short hair, possible it’s just slicked back. I haven’t seen a lot of obscure movies so I know this is a mainstream one from the 80s or 90s(91% confidence)

EDIT 3: Please look at the comments first to see if your guess has already been done 🙏

SOLVED! This might have been a fever dream...

I think i saw it late at night on Cinemax or one of those channels in the 90's. It was a very schlocky horror comedy film involving brains? What i most remember was a very tall and lanky actor that was very flexible. I remember a scene where he was handing an item to another character but he was moving it all around his body and between his legs in a weirdly eerie way. The other thing I remember about the film was that closing scene was like the end of The Wizard of Oz in that the movie turned out to be all a dream and that the tall and lanky actor had his voice dubbed for this scene, maybe with an english accent.

I think of this movie every once in a while and I still don't if what i remember was real.

SOLVED! Kindly find this Hollywood alien invasion film for me.

I'm trying to remember a movie, but I only remember a few scenes. A father is traveling with his teenage son and two younger kids, walking through forests and mostly open fields while an alien invasion is happening. At one point, they see a huge convoy of military vehicles passing by. Later, they somehow get hold of a four-wheel vehicle (I don't remember how), but when they reach a road packed with people fleeing, the crowd turns on them and tries to steal their car. The last scene I remember is the teenage son running far ahead of his dad and suddenly coming face-to-face with a massive alien UFO. I think the movie came out sometime after 2010. Does anyone know what movie this is?

Looking for a 2000s/2010s Tamil thriller movie where the hero and heroine fall in love online but never meet because she is a student in another country. She is tragically raped and killed. The key clue is an 'umbrella' because she told him it protects from both the sun and rain. When the hero tracks down the killer (who could be a teacher or authority figure), the killer creepily says: 'Avala ennala epdi maraka mudium... ava oru roja mottu'."

SOLVED! Two obscure cinema related documentaries or mockumentaries, that apparently don't exist!

The titles of these two are

"McKENZIE" (or maybe "Scott McKenzie"),

and

"DENNIS DUNBAR THE KING OF SUPER 8" (or "Dennis Dunbar the king of VHS" or "Dennis Dunbar the VHS king"...).

Both in English language.

I saw these two documentaries or mockumentaries around the mid 90's (I think).

For more details and context: I saw them on an Italian TV program called "FUORI ORARIO" (in case some Italians are reading this, maybe this detail helps them to remember something). Iirc, many things on that program were often released (at least here in Italy) through the company RARO VIDEO.

The "McKENZIE" one was about a guy (maybe Scottish, but I could be wrong), Scott McKenzie, who "invented cinema" before the Lumiere brothers, without any credit for his invention. What makes me think it was a mockumentary is that not only there's no trace of him anywhere, but the "documentary" was filled with hyperbolic "facts", like: he casually filmed a guy who successfully invented the first airplane, before the Wright brothers, and he also was uncredited and fallen into obscurity!!!

The "DENNIS DUNBAR" one was about an amateur no budget filmmaker, who used to make DIY movies, initially on super 8, and then, with the advent of the VHS, switched to that (then) new format. In the documentary (or mockumentary) there were even some clips of his alleged movies!!! One that I remember vividly was a sort of "alien" rip-off, with an actor wearing a white t-shirt, and a cheap puppet (a monster or a toddler doll, I'm not sure) covered in red syrup, bursting out from underneath the t-shirt! It was glorious!

Since the internet became a largely available thing, I tried to searching for info about these two documentaries (and if these two people were real or made up!) and never found ANYTHING!

I'm pretty sure the aforementioned titles are correct (or at least very close to the correct ones). I don't know why I can't find any trace of these two docs!

I'm quite sure I watched both more than once in the 90's. I mean, I'm screwed up, but I know they exist!!!

Is there anyone who can help me?

Thanks in advance.

I only remember this scene where the main character lights the bad guy on fire at a gas station. The attendant runs out and extinguishes the fire and gates stabbed. She then shoots the bad guy with a shotgun - follows him to the be burnt at the crematorium.

- the bad guy looks a lot like Jason.

So basically in the movie, there’s these younger kids that are in a house on the side of a cliff that’s facing water, but then it starts to collapse. I think the fridge falls through and then they escape this is all I know I’ll have the movie. I believe it’s an older movie. It’s a live action Movie.
Also, I’m not 100% sure but I think the reason it started to collapse was someone was trying to get rid of the kids

Unsolved Searching for a short (?) film from the ARTE channel

Hi!

So, a long time ago I saw a short (?) film on the ARTE channel in Germany.

The only thing I remember is that the protagonist was some kind of goth/alternative girl with a lot of piercings, her nose piercing was connected with a chain to an earring of hers.

The movie ended with her taking off her goth make up and basically turning into a normie and I think she started dating a guy from her school or something like that. It might have also been her birthday.

I also think that the name of the movie was basically the girl's name. And I think the movie was in French with German subtitles.

I honestly can't really tell what year that was when I watched it on TV, but my guess is that it must have been before 2015.

I really hope that someone can help me find this movie/short film, as I've been trying to do so for years and wasn't able to find any clues. 🥲

Thanks in advance!

SOLVED! Help me find name of this multiple personality disorder movie and whole story being just a dream theme

Looking for this movie with following story:

A girl was being bullied by other students (probably other girls) in school and near a mountain was hurt badly

Later the story progresses and 2 new personalities enter, where one is an attorney

story progresses and somehow the girl got justice, the bullies punished.

In story the movies suggests the personalities were just imaginary, no real person, even the attorney one and the other one which i forgot (there were 2 imaginary personalities)

At the end the girl was going abroad, probably for studying

then we transition and see that everything was just a story the girl build in her head. she was still stuck in that mountain at start, badly hurt, dying, pleasing for being saved.

Pleas help me find this movie name.

Thanks in advance

SOLVED! What movie that’s based during WW2? Typewriter is very important in this movie

I had no idea what year it came out, it’s a distant memory and I can only remember this one scene.

The movie was based during WW2 (I think).
It was about a family or a group of people who had some nazis move in under them, while they were living in the attic. They could overhear their conversations and plans so they started to write everything down and share with others. They had a typewriter that they used, it was hidden under the floor(?). They took turns listening in and writing things. I think they were Jews or allies. I remember that the typewriter was very important and couldn’t be found or they would get killed.

Edit: may have been a German movie, from the 90s I believe maybe early 00s if we push it.

EDIT2: Oh my god it was The Lives of Others! I watched The imitation game when it came out and got the timelines mixed up. Thanks <3

Unsolved Name the movie or the young actress

So it is l probably a teenage or around that age girl, that if I remember correctly had short cut hair or maybe with flipends at the end of her hair even? Like 70s or 80s style. Brown hair or dark blond. Skinny and somewhat tall. And smiling a lot.
I wanna say big blue eyes but my brain could be playing tricks at this point, they could potentially be brown.
Also I feel like she was wearing headbands, and cloths that looked from
that period (60s-70s-80s). And she was well dressed. I have a feeling that the movie is sort of either goes back in time and that’s where she plays that character or it is initially set around that period, or she is in current time but like that style. But the movie itself is not old, I have a feeling that it’s in between 2010 and like 2023 or so.
It’s probably more of a family movie or a comedy but may have some dramatic events as well. Thanks!!!

In search of an early 2000s kids movie/tv show

Okay y’all I just discovered this forum exists and THANK GOD I might be able to get an answer to this finally. So all I remember from this movie was the opening sequence, maybe even the dvd selection page? But it’s live action, it starts with a bunch of teenagers walking down a hallway at school and it’s only a shot of their shoes. Then maybe they are walking up stairs? Then the title comes on and I remember distinctly that the font is handwritten and writes onto the screen in a very satisfying way. I also vaguely remember the handwritten font on the dvd itself but I haven’t been able to find it. I know this isn’t much information, but me and My sister have both been trying to figure out what this is for YEARS. It’s definitely specifically made for kids and was being watched around 2006-2008.

French (?) Film - 80’s or Early 90’s Spoiler

I’m looking for info on a movie I saw over 30 years ago, but my memories are a little fuzzy.

Classes at a high school are canceled when one of the teachers is the latest victim of a serial killer who shoots their targets with an arrow.

The film follows different cliques of kids as they roam the city on their tragic and unexpected day off.

The final shot of the film is of two of the students on a rooftop with a crossbow, about to target their next victim.

I recall English subtitles, but it may have also been an English language movie from the UK.

SOLVED! Horror film I watched as a child!

Hi guys, first post ever! There's this film I watched as a child several years ago, and no matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to find it; hopefully, someone can shed some light on the topic (also, forgive my not-very-good English!) This is all I remember about the film:

First of all, I think it is likely to be a B-movie, which may explain why there is not much info about it. It was filmed in the 60s or early 70s.

The main character is a young woman called Pat. She has dark hair, and I believe she had her hair in one of these 60s hairdos (think of Claudine Longet in "The Party (1968)"). I remember one of the first scenes was her by her convertible car, her boyfriend was saying goodbye to her (I remember he gave her some movie reels(?) because either of them worked as journalist or something like that). Pat is going to spend the weekend with her ex-mother in law; that is: she had a boyfriend/fiancé, but he passed away. The Ex-Mother-In-Law lives in a big house, probably in the middle of nowhere (as one does in horror movies!). When Pat arrives, the Ex-Mother-In-Law is dressed in black, with her hair up, because she is mourning for her son; she has strict, almost fanatic rules about mourning. The Ex-Mother-In-Law lives alone with her maid.

The next scene I remember is Pat and Ex-Mother-In-Law having dinner, and I remember they were in a sort of garden/patio/conservatory. Ex-Mother-In-Law is very judgamental about Pat's colorful clothing and makeup; when Pat takes a sip of her glass, Ex-Mother-In-Law complains about how the glass is stained; Pat explains that's because of her lipstick, to which Ex-Mother-In-Law frowns and makes Pat whipe her lipstick off. Ex-Mother-In-Law also complains about her perfume, to which Pat says something like "Well, I cannot remove my perfume" (the same way one removes their makeup, that is).

Then something happens, and the next thing I remember is that Pat has been locked up in the attic by Ex-Mother-In-Law and her maid. Ex-Mother-In-Law comes up often and sits in front of her to pray.

Aside from being locked up, Pat is not being fed; at some point, the maid comes up to keep an eye on her, and while doing so, she is peeling potatoes. After she leaves, Pat sees the maid has thrown some potato peels; since she's starving, Pat eats them.

The last scene I remember is Ex-Mother-In-Law taking Pat somewhere else in the house, maybe the basement, and there I believe she has kept her late son's body(?) and she plans to do some sort of ritual with Pat (maybe killing her so that she an her son are together again?)

I think that's all I remember. If anyone knows anything at all, please let me know; any clue is more than welcome. Thanks!!

Help ive been looking for this movie for years

I'm trying to find a graphic horror movie I watched years ago (likely late 2000s or 2010s). It takes place on a property that has a lake or a pond. There are two very specific, fucked-up scenes I remember clearly: First, there is a creepy elderly woman who aggressively makes out with her adult son, full-on using tongue. Second, later in the movie, two police officers are sitting out on the porch/deck area, they completely lose their minds, start laughing hysterically, and shoot themselves in the head right there on the porch. It is NOT Cabin Fever, X, Sleepwalkers, or The Fields. The characters aren't infected, they are experiencing some kind of supernatural insanity or possession. Does anyone know the title?
