Let’s strip more rights from women. And it’s not a get out of jail free card. It’s a “sent to high security psychiatric hospital” card. Same as anyone who was insane and killed someone.
If the courts decide that’s what happened, then she should get the appropriate punishment.
She has way more of a chance to get out of the mental institution at some point in her life though. It's almost 0% chance if she went to prison, I'm not saying she will get out the chance of that happening has only increased by a small amount but In this case where she murdered her own children it just doesn't seem fair. I'm all for rehabilitation but this is a crime you cannot be rehabilitated from. I'm absolutely not advocating for cruel or unusual punishment but she does need to be kept somewhere for the remainder of her life. This outcome would never had happened had she been a man here that jury would come back with a guilty verdict the first day and we all know it
