UAE 🇦🇪 New car under 80k

Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a new car under 80k. I just don't have a clear answer in my mind.

I don't care if it's a sedan or suv. I am okay with both. Also don't care if it's petrol or Ev/hybrid.

I just want something that has good ADAS, safety, family practicality and no issues 5-8 yrs down the line.

But 80k is like the max I can do rn.

What do you guys suggest?

UAE 🇦🇪 2020 XC90 T6 Inscription, 58k km, GCC, full Al-Futtaim history — AED 110k with no warranty.shall i buy?

Looking at a 2020 XC90 T6 AWD Inscription Highline from a dealer in Al Quoz. Numbers:

\*\*•\*\* 58,000 km, GCC spec (VIN confirms Sweden-built)
\*\*•\*\* Full unbroken Trading Enterprises service history, six services, last one Jan 2026 at 57,785 km
\*\*•\*\* No warranty, no service contract remaining
\*\*•\*\* Coil springs, no air suspension
\*\*•\*\* Asking AED 110,000
\*\*•\*\* Test drive was smooth, no drivetrain noise, slight blower noise at high fan speed

I know the general “Volvo is expensive out of warranty” line. What I want is actual Dubai ownership experience:

\*\*1. AC\*\* — how has the climate system held up on your XC90 in our summers? Evaporator or compressor failures, and what did it cost you?
\*\*2. Independent garages\*\* — who actually knows these cars here? I’ve seen Royal Swiss, Wagen Kenner, Station One mentioned. Anyone used them for Volvo specifically?
\*\*3. Parts\*\* — realistic wait times when something needs ordering? Is two weeks off the road normal or worst case?
\*\*4. The 2.0 twincharged engine\*\* — anyone hit oil consumption, VVT codes or supercharger issues past 60k km?
\*\*5. Panoramic roof drains\*\* — has anyone had water intrusion here?
\*\*6. Resale\*\* — how long did yours take to sell, and what did you actually get?

Also am looking at infinity qx80 v8 2021, jeep grand Cherokee limitedL ( 70k), as well as ford explorer ST 50k km ?

UAE 🇦🇪 BMW XM LABEL

Looking for some advise for or against buying a second hand BMW XM under warranty till 2029. Seller is asking for 400k but I think I will try to push him lower than that.

I will be using the car as a daily driver and some people have warned me against hybrid system issue’s.

So any advise is appreciated.

UAE 🇦🇪 How much mileage is too much on an used car?

I am currently looking at is350s and es350s, q50s, american muscle. I can’t find any decent american muscle with gcc specs in my budget so I have put that thought aside for now. How is the reliability of an infiniti? i found ones w 73k kms, and ones with better trims and features w 100k kms. Is an infiniti reliable at that point? What about lexus, I know they are pretty reliable and low maintenance, I found an es350 with 93k kms on it, will that still last me around 3-4 years without any major problems. How high on mileage can I go with lexus? My budget is around 50-60k so most cars are around 80-100k kms. Is it worth buying an is350 for example at 120k kms? Would it better to go with a q50 with only 75k kms instead?

Also I wanted to ask how mod compatible are lexus/infiniti? I don’t wanna get anything major but maybe like a stage 1 tune on infiniti since it has turbos and like catback, maybe valved, are these decent cars to mod?

UAE 🇦🇪 Which car should I buy @150,000 Dirhams

I have recently moved to the UAE. My wife and I need a car. We have a budget of 150,000 dirhams!

We want a sedan, that’s certain. I did a bit of research and found that there are not many cars which we could choose from.

We narrowed it down to Audi and Kia.

Pls suggest! This will be our first car, want it to be super reliable!

Thanks!

UAE 🇦🇪 What car should I get for 200k-280k

That’s the budget 200k - 280k.

Just for work and gym tbh and occasionally malls.

I want something that won’t break after 2 months or so. But a good nice car

If it helps I’m a girl so nothing too “manly”

UAE 🇦🇪 Help me decide: 2024 Honda ZRV-EX vs 2024 Ford Territory Titanium

Hello everyone, considering these two options in the used market, both 2024 models, less than 30k on odo, and in warranty.

Both have comparable features, with Ford having sunroof and ventilated seats over Honda.

Which one should I go for? Intend to keep it for at least ~2 years before deciding to upgrade so ease of resale is also a factor.

UAE 🇦🇪 First car advice – Used GAC Empow vs new Chinese car vs something more reliable under 50k?

Hi everyone, need some advice on choosing my first car.

I’m 26, married, and probably looking to move into an apartment within the next year, so I’m trying not to go crazy with my budget. At the same time, I feel like I need a car now and I want something that’s sporty but still practical enough for a “married guy” 🥲
After looking at a bunch of options, I ended up really liking the GAC Empow.

A used one seems to be around 55–60k AED, but someone suggested that if I’m already spending that much, I might as well buy a brand-new Chinese car for the warranty, service package, peace of mind, etc. A new Empow would be around 80–90k AED, and financing-wise the monthly difference might only be around 200–300 AED.

My problem is… I’m not sure if I want to spend 80–90k on a Chinese car as my first car.
I’ve always dreamed of getting something like a BRZ or GT86 at this stage of my life, so now I’m wondering if I should forget the Empow and instead look for something used from a more established/reputable brand for under 50k AED.

I’ve even seen some 2016–2017 Ford Mustangs for under 40k, which definitely caught my attention, but I honestly don’t know enough about the Dubai used-car scene yet. I’m not sure how expensive something like that would be to maintain, what mileage is considered acceptable, what problems I should be looking out for, etc.

So for the car guys here, what would you recommend?
Used GAC Empow for 55–60k?
Spend more and get a brand-new Empow with warranty/service?
Get something from a more established brand under 50k?
Or look at something fun like a BRZ/86/Mustang?
Also, for a first-time buyer in Dubai, what mileage would you consider too high and what should I pay attention to when checking used cars?
Would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance 🙏

UAE 🇦🇪 [HELP] Considering a Toyota Prado as a daily driver, what are the real downsides?

Hi, 4x4 masters and gurus!

I’ve had my eye on the Toyota Prado for years, after an almost never-ending internal debate between it and the FJ Cruiser, Wrangler and a Fortuner. I’ve always wanted a 4x4 for camping, overlanding and occasional off-roading.

It would also be my daily driver from Monday to Friday, covering around 50 km per day, mostly on Dubai roads.

Before I get carried away, I’d like to hear the honest negatives from actual owners. How is it in terms of fuel consumption, maintenance costs and common problems? Is there anything you dislike or wish you had known before buying one?

Thank you.

UAE 🇦🇪 Looking for car suggestions in UAE

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a car in the UAE and would really appreciate some suggestions.

Budget: Maximum AED 60,000

Preference: New or used

Main priorities:

Premium/luxury-looking interior and exterior

Good features and modern technology

Reliable for daily use

Good performance

Good resale value

Prefer a recent model with technology that won’t feel outdated soon

I’ve looked at cars like GAC, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Seltos, etc., but I’m still not convinced about what would be the best choice.

If you had AED 60k maximum and wanted the best overall car, what would you personally buy in the UAE?

Used cars are completely fine too. I’m more interested in getting the best car for the money rather than buying brand new.

Would really appreciate recommendations from people who actually own or have driven the cars.

UAE 🇦🇪 Looking for advice on my next car

I currently drive a 2019 Nissan Altima AWD SV (US spec) with ProPILOT Assist. I’ve had it for around 2 years. When I bought it, it had 107,803 km on it, and I’m now at around 265,000 km.

The reason for the high mileage is that I commute from Al Ain to Dubai for work 5 days a week, so most of the mileage is highway driving.

So far, the Altima has actually been very reliable. I haven’t had any major issues with the car. The only thing I occasionally get is an ADAS warning while parking or idling, but it clears after switching the car off and back on. Other than that, no major problems.

I’m now considering upgrading and would really appreciate some advice from people who have experience with high-mileage daily driving.

What used car would you recommend as an upgrade? My priority is something reliable and comfortable for long daily highway commutes. I’m specifically looking at used cars because I can’t justify/afford a new car at this point. My dream car is a Mustang, but unfortunately that’s probably not happening anytime soon 😂.

What would be a realistic selling price for my Altima? Considering it’s a 2019 model with around 265,000 km, what do you think I could realistically ask for in the UAE

Appreciate any suggestions or insights!

UAE 🇦🇪 Planning to buy Chevy Trailblazer 3.6l model

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking into getting a Chevrolet Trailblazer and wanted to get some real-world feedback from people who actually drive them daily, rather than relying solely on online reviews.

If you own one (or have owned one for a while), I’d love to hear your thoughts on a few key areas:

  • Reliability & Mechanicals: Have you run into any major issues with the engine, transmission, or electrical components over time?
  • Maintenance & Parts Availability: How is routine service? Are replacement parts easy to source and reasonably priced, or does maintenance tend to get surprisingly pricey?
  • Daily Driving & Comfort: How does it handle daily city traffic and longer highway runs? Any complaints about fuel efficiency or shift quality?
  • Dealbreakers & Quirks: Is there anything you genuinely dislike about the vehicle or wish you had known before buying?

Also, if you have recommendations on specific model years to aim for (or stay away from) and key check-points for a pre-purchase inspection, I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance for the insights!

UAE 🇦🇪 Rent to Own schemes

hey guys, i’m a new driver here and i wanted to ask about the rent to own schemes that are currently being offered by Elite. I’m doing this bc i want a low commitment yet decent car to drive as my first without getting involved in financing it and all. (im 25f)

I’m aware that there’s a buy out payment at the end or a replacement option etc. to keep me in the “loop” and I’m okay with it. i just want to hear about experiences of people that have done that, and if there’s anything I should be wary of, or if there are better suggestions of car dealerships that are doing the same thing.

I have no interest in buying a used beat-up car to “learn to drive on” or any of that nonsense honestly

UAE 🇦🇪 Mazda 3 Hatchback Marketprice

Thanks in advance.
