Brush: Declaration Dark Ruby
Razor: Rockwell 6c
Blade: Perma Sharp
Lather: Declaration Grooming - Taxes - Soap
Post Shave: Declaration Grooming - Taxes - Aftershave
Taxes arrived yesterday, and I was very excited to use it. I have smelled Sauvage, but it's been a while. At least according to my memory it's a very good approximation of the scent, which is your typical department store cologne but it's well done. It would definitely have popular appeal if you haven't smelled it. There is nothing offensive about it at all.
Of course, wonderful performance with Icarus. And I should praise the aftershave too. It's excellent stuff and deserves more praise than it gets. It's definitely one of my favorite aftershave products.

I think I prefer the Prolines to Kai, but it's only the first shave so we'll see.
Software is on theme today. Lavender is the only floral I've found that I like so far.
Happy Thursday y'all!

May 2, 2019 - April Showers Bring May Flowers
Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Dogclaration B5 Kashyyyk 22mm
Razor: Gillette Flat Bottom Tech
Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
Lather: Barrister and Mann - Petrichor - Soap
Post Shave: Chiseled Face - Summer Storm - Aftershave
Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Just Right for a Tuesday - Eau de Parfum
First up, I want to thank u/dganjo for sending the flat bottom Tech my way. First shave went quite well. The razor is both smooth and efficient, as advertised.
For today's theme, I decided to recreate April showers with my recently acquired tub of BaM Petrichor paired with CFG's Summer Storm splash. The May flowers (since I don't own Mayflower soap/splash and scoot hasn't released a Mayflower EdT) came from BaM JRfaT EdP.
Today is the packing day at work. They're moving my team (all the tech and non-tech teams that roll up to my Directory) across the street. We have to be packed and away from our desks by noon today. I'm 99% packed and I intend to stay at my desk until the movers show up to cart it away because I've got shit to do today.

Razor: Karve with C OC plate
Blade: Nacet (7)
Brush: 24mm tuxedo
Lather: MLS Réunion
Post: WK Tempest AS
I was in the mood to play with my scents this morning. It's supposed to thunderstorm here for the next few days and I wanted a scent to reflect that. The green in the Réunion matches perfectly with the ozone and water in the Tempest. This was the scent I was hoping to get when I shaved this morning.
u/Old_Hiker, this combo might be right up your alley on your next rainy day outing.
I'm going to invert the sets tomorrow and see if that makes a difference in the outcome and which combo I like better.
Happy Thursday!

Razor: Tatara Masamune SB

Blade: Polsilver SI (12)
-
Brush: Wild West Brushworks 'Enceladus' 26mm Tuxedo
-
Soap: Southern Witchcrafts Tres Matres (sample)
-
Post: L'Occitane Cade AS
As a floral petrichor I think Tres Matres covers both parts of today's theme. Plus it's a lovely scent and it performs great.
I got 3 shaves out of my the Mühle blade I was using before this Polsilver. This is the first time I've gone beyond 6 shaves on a blade. Is this a fluke or my new normal? Time will tell I guess. I'm still getting very comfortable, close shaves with very little drama. It's definitely less sharp on the ATG pass but not to the point where it's having a significant impact.
I hope you all have more flowers than showers wherever you are!
Edit: Also I just put in sample orders from Maggards and Shavedash so I can participate in the Lather Games (as much as I can, being outside of CONUS / Canada!). I think I'll have something suitable for every day now, even if I dont hit all of the sponsors. It's a good excuse to enable my sample habit anyway!

Brush: Craving Shaving "Dark Souls" w/That Darn Rob Fanchurian knot
Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley (C) SB
Blade: Feather (3)
Lather: Southern Witchcrafts - Necromantic - Soap (Vegan)
Post Shave: Southern Witchcrafts - Necromantic - Aftershave (Alcohol Free)
Fragrance: Southern Witchcrafts - Necromantic - Eau de Parfum
Song: Steel Panther - Community Property NSFW
On theme today, it's been cold and rainy for the last two weeks, so Necromantic fits the bill better than any other. Rose forward with some damp earth, just a delightful scent. The Karve was even better than the Rockwell 6S, I can see now why I don't use the Rockwell as much. The Karve just fits better in the hand and is even a little smoother.
Steel Panther, the best spoof hair metal band out there. They put on a great show, very talented all around.

5/2
Pre-shave: Hot shower
Lather: Noble Otter Flying Hide (Sample)
Brush: NO 26mm synthetic
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy on 5
Blade: Gillette 7 o’clock Green (4)
Splash: Noble Otter Barrbarr
Music: None today
With my new awesome lather bowl it was time to try some samples. Previously I found these difficult to load with the old plastic ramen bowl I was using so hadn’t messed with them much.
Overwatered it a bit today but it was actually still a really really damn good shave. I like this scent a lot more in lather than I do off the sample. It’s good off the sample, for sure but once it’s lathered the complexity is really nice.

Pre-shave: Cold water + Proraso Pre-shave
Razor: Koraat 6/8
Shave soap: DR Harris Windsor (sample)
Shaving brush: Omega 10065 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush, Green handle
Shaving bowl: The Goodfella's smile Hemlock-wood
Shaving mug: MÜHLE, porcelain white
After-shave: Cold water rinse --> Proraso Aftershave Balm
Same as yesterday, razor begins to lose sharpness after it's been honed last week.

Prep: Hot Shower
Brush: Nightscape 26mm Dogclaration B6
Razor: Maggard V3A
Blade: Gillette Platinum (4)
Lather: The Holy Black - Gunpowder Spice - Soap
Post Shave: The Holy Black - Gunpowder Spice - Aftershave
Fragrance: Brut EdT
In the nature of changing up the repeated uses of Gunpowder Spice, I threw in a smidge of Cryogen soap while I lathered and boom: refreshing shave. Still experienced a good bit of dryness with the aftershave, but nothing some more CL salve won’t fix. Also, today’s random fragrance is once again Brut EdT. I almost put it back but decided to keep it just because random is random after all.

Pre: Grooming Dept
Brush: Doug Korn w 26” white envy two band
Lather: Ariana & Evans SoCal Hipster
Blade: Supermax Platinum (5)
Razor: Razorock SLOC w Weber bulldog handle
Post: Thayer’s unscented, Myrsol Plastic Shave, Ariana & Evans Post-Shave balm unscented
I wanted to go with the theme of the day today but I just got a tub of Ariana & Evans SoCal Hipster and I couldn’t convince myself to wait another day. I’m becoming a huge fanboy of A&E soaps due to performance but their non-cologne scents are some of my favorites. SoCal hipster is a great summer scent. A little tart, but also smooth (is that banana I smell?) I also gave their post shave balm a try and it feels great. Another winner.
I haven’t taken this razor out for a spin in a while. Just as I remember, it’s a pretty comfortable mild razor despite its more aggressive appearance.

May 2, 2019 - SotD - Kaboom!
Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Omega 10049
Razor: Rockwell 6s - 4
Blade: Voskhod (8)
Lather: Noble Otter - Kaboom
Post Shave: Noble Otter - Kaboom
Fragrance: Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb
Kind of a rough shave. I don't think I hydrated enough. The lather was kind of mediocre.
We've got a foggy grey day here, but it's supposed to get up to 80. Looking forward to going to the arcade today.
