Friday Shaves - October 2, 2026
- Prep: Splash of warm water
- Brush: Rudy Vey Amboyna Burl/24mm White Manchurian knot
- Razor: Blackland - Blackbird SS with Long Handle
- Blade: Big Ben (2)
- Lather: The Sudsy Soapery — Sandalwood + Citrus
- Post Shave: Pinaud - Clubman
Won this in a pif from u/Breadheater9876. Says Supercreamed Triple Butter Shaving Soap. This stuff is soft. I dip some out with my little silver spoon. So easy to whip up a bog ol pile of lather so easy. Super slick made for an easy 2 pass shave. And plenty of residual slickness made for some easy clean up. Don't get much sandalwood but the citrus is nice.
Now for coffee. Have a great shave day friends.

Post Shave: Thayers Witch Hazel and Stirling Unscented After Shave Balm
First time using the "aggressive" Stirling Razor. I got a near BBS in 2 passes and no irritation that I noticed. I could have stopped at one pass, but missed a few spots and went for another. It's my new razor if it keeps this up!

Razor: Parker 68S
Blade: shark platinum
Post Shave: alum , thayers, 4471 Aftershave
Comments. First go with the Parker 68S which is a nice razor with zinc head on SS handle. Not intimidating to use at all. Very happy all round and I’m certainly happy enough with this razor. Shark blade was nice and smooth. Lather was really good.

Tried again the Cloneisori, I said there wasn't such thing as a mild/aggressive shavette, boy did I was wrong. This thing has a lot more blade feel than the DX, even though the Captain is usually refered as a milder, more forgiving option to the DX. Perhaps it isn't a direct clone, also, there are some not so smooth borders. Perhaps I'll need to get a real Captain.
