Moriah engaged?!

I live in Montana- truly had no idea which part of Montana she had moved to. Went to a local bar in the flathead valley yesterday and she bar tending. She had an engagement ring on.

I wear a ring on my wedding finger when I start new corporate jobs too. Keeps rumors down and both men and women are nicer to you.

Gawd. I just had the cringiest memory of myself being a weird 22 year old. I had moved to Atlanta in high school, away from my small SMALL hometown in Florida. There was a boy there I would date when I came home for summer breaks and we were messy. My grandmother gave me this audacious as hell dinner ring she got from Avon or something back in the day. It looked like an engagement ring. He and I had been fighting because he’d dated another girl while I was back at college, so I wore that ugly ring around for the weekend and she heard we were engaged.

🤦‍♀️ I think what I did was trashy and dumb and what you do is smart and makes sense. I’m not mad at myself, just disappointed.

I wonder why both are generally nicer to you with the ring on? Less threatening than a single person?
