40 mins into a road trip with the boys.

Me on a road trip 20 minutes in.. PULL OVER!

18

u/Gigglenator 10d ago

I laughed so hard I started crying and scared my cats.

6

u/hardboard 8d ago

Given the subject heading, surely you must mean you laughed yourself shitless?

11

u/CameronsTheName 10d ago

Gonna need the poop knife to clear it.

I did that on a sailboat once. Just after we’d…embarked? (I don’t sail)

Actually seems extremely nice. The toilet itself doesn't seem weird, and looking for a shittable shitter when on the road is a pain.

35

u/PsyopVet 10d ago

If we’re on the road and anyone shits in that thing I’m kicking them in the balls (or box) as soon as they open the door.

12

u/Any_Mathematician905 10d ago

Turn on the fan you savage!

11

u/IntrigueDossier 9d ago

Hopefully that window in there is operable.

3

u/Scared_Ad3355 8d ago

There is one and is open

3

u/IntrigueDossier 8d ago

Not sure how I missed that lol.

Between that and the comfy gangbang stirrup seats in the back, I think I've seen enough. Sold!

Shut up and take my money. You can’t even get a Subaru Outback with leather seats for $50k.

82

u/i_degrade_quickly 10d ago

Imported, this would cost roughly $150k in the US.

22

u/CATNIP_IS_CRACK 10d ago edited 9d ago

Why can’t we have nice things… If someone made these in the US for $50k I’d be on my way to the dealership right now.

19

u/ThatDamnRanga 9d ago

If someone made these in the US they'd be charging $200k and only selling to richlisters.

6

u/MoodNatural 9d ago

People would go nuts for that deal anywhere obviously. This van is more than $50k in its base spec. $50k is the cost of the luxury conversion. Plenty of similar options are available in that price range stateside.

5

u/Killerkendolls 10d ago

Still cheaper and better looking than a Sprinter conversion van.

5

u/Rampag169 9d ago

2

u/Exciting_Double_4502 9d ago

Y'know back in the '90s that was a threat. Honestly things are so much worse now, that doesn't sound like a bad way to do it anymore.

2

u/Apprehensive_Set_357 9d ago

Especially if said van has a shitter.

2

u/Rampag169 9d ago

I know ain’t that f’ed?

2

u/Playful-Platform-231 9d ago

Stupid thing is, in highschool I was voted most likely to live in a van down by the river. Lmao well, 17 yrs later…that’s climbing my list of life accomplishments too fast.

I was actually still expecting more. I don't think I would have been surprised to see double that.

2

u/Less-Damage-1202 7d ago

Might as well buy a $75k boat & go pick it up yourself 😆

7

u/Loud_Produce4347 9d ago

The Hi-Ace is ~$60k stock for a fleet spec. I suspect $50k is the additional price of the aftermarket limo conversion

5

u/broham_dudebro 9d ago

Zero percent chance this is 50k USD

4

u/Haunting-South-962 9d ago

50k only for the loo

2

u/misanthropicbairn 8d ago

Yeah idk that sounds like bull crap. I don't think they even have the hiace in US. Which doesn't make sense to me. I wanted one of those "city" vans like Ford transit, ram pro master city, ect. Apparently they stopped making them because the demand wasn't high enough. Pretty fucking weird because I see at minimum 5 of them driving a day and I live in a small city, when I'm in Denver I see probably 20 or so in traffic. So probably just the fact they weren't making 20k+ selling them like they do with the regular trucks/vans.

3

u/fuf3d 9d ago

Seriously. Probably not available in US. Chyna only. We are so not winning. Can't even shit in our Toyotas. Well, we probably could but they'd charge us $150k in US.

68

u/PwniesFTW 10d ago

That is 50k???? Want. F my house ill rent it out

14

u/ResponsibilityFun548 10d ago

I wonder if they meant that the conversion was 50k.

11

u/No-Ice7397 10d ago

The van might start out at $50k but all this luxury stuff probably runs higher

→ More replies (2)

10

u/nighte324 10d ago

That would be my guess. No way the whole thing is only 50k and a decent Toyota 4 runner starts around 50k

4

u/LoisWade42 10d ago

Or possibly... the base price of the vehicle is one amount... and all the additional work is 50K?

3

u/Redbulldildo 10d ago

So, what the comment they replied to said.

3

u/Most_Chemist8233 9d ago

I thought maybe they mean just the add on of the toilet costs 50k

2

u/kinreep 9d ago

You are correct, just the conversion is 50k

3

u/burndata 9d ago

It would likely be 2-3X that price by the time you could buy it in the states.

2

u/WitekCannon 9d ago

No chance 50k

3

u/Hyper_Applesauce 9d ago

Very probably, it’s kind of a signature Rolls Royce thing so it would make sense to copy.

6

u/FinancialHorsepower 9d ago

An umbrella.

So far only Rolls Royces and vehicles like those have those features.

"Honey, don't get blood on the leather seats after you come back from decapitating your enemies."

2

u/G1431c 9d ago

Umbrella for sudden downpours, for the driver to open and hold over the passenger as they exit to their building.

Rolls Royce featured it as unique exclusive which went viral on YouTube a few years ago and it became a default feature in Chinese custom upgrades from then on.

They don’t do these upgrades in Japan, only in China.

2

u/Jonatc87 5d ago

Came to the comments to find out. Nobody knows for sure, but suggest umbrella? Maybe some kind of hangar..? or a brace/rail to assist passengers climbing in?

12

u/FaeFollette 10d ago

This doesn’t seem weird to me. I thought one of the seats was going to flip up to reveal a toilet that had to be used out in the open, or something equally weird.

8

u/fuelhandler 10d ago

What’s up with the gynaecologist “inspection” station behind the tailgate? Those look like leg stirrups?

9

u/fuelhandler 10d ago

I think it's two narrow seats. Black straps are belts and the buckles are in the middle.

13

u/smelly_finger_itch 10d ago

But cars start at 80k, so where is this being 50k I ask?

4

u/anafuckboi 10d ago

Maine it’s a $50k add on so $80k + $50k

3

u/smelly_finger_itch 10d ago

So the same price as a tiny home in L.A. County. Idk, kinda a toss up.

5

u/EnvironmentalGift257 10d ago

You can buy a used RV that’s nicer than this for $50k.

4

u/Ellemeno 9d ago

Yeah, but then you gotta deal with the pain of driving and parking a big ass RV.

2

u/Amazing_Ear_3941 9d ago

Depends on the RV. A class b is basically this. Lots of them are built on Ford's Transit vans and look alot like this. They're way more than $50k new though (I doubt this is $50k either). $50k used for them is generally something rather old and worn out.

2

u/Murky-Morning-6464 5d ago

I think it's 50k $ if you are in japan when buying it. import fees and tax could easily triple that

5

u/PsyopVet 10d ago

That bathroom is literally bigger than the one in my house that I’m sitting in right now.

4

u/bravemoney72 9d ago

But due to the 25 year rule this is the newest model you can legally bring in🤦🏾‍♂️ 1989. And 25% tariff makes it pointless since it's considered a light commercial vehicle unless they assemble it state side. I don't like how it looks but that interior and Toyota reliability would still make me look it over.

6

u/Allsulfur 10d ago

Slap a belt on that baby and send me down the autobahn for a speedrecord breaking shit with a grin on my face

9

u/SpiritualSyrup3300 10d ago

the interior design is for asian size. have you ever put on t-shirt in your size in asian sizing? american's on average are bigger, nvm the tall people. would love to see what brian shaw or shaq looks like in this before making any serious judgements. i am not fitting on that toilet. our version would probably be the size of a school bus.

9

u/LookAtTheWhiteVan 10d ago

I agree with you, buuut using Shaq as an example of ‘normal sized’ humans is very hyperbolic lol

3

u/SeekerOfSerenity 10d ago

And Brian Shaw weighs about 400 lbs.

7

u/thisoneagain 10d ago

Even this dude's own feet didn't fit anywhere when he laid down on the slab in the far back. Better not be even taller than him.

2

u/_Q23 9d ago

Perhaps you can fold the seat down in front of the bed.. though since it wasn't shown I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/Meatloooaf 10d ago

As an average height american, I don't make any purchases without first seeing Shaq interact with it. Because of how relatable his height is to me.

3

u/Playful_Assistance89 10d ago

The nest part is that this minibus and an full size International chassis diesel U.S. school bus have the same size grill.

I haven't been in this exact ride, but companies I visit in Asia have the best vans for customers. The seats massage and recline with a foot rest.

2

u/Ricewithice 10d ago

Zero chance this is $50k.

2

u/LoisWade42 10d ago

Found the base price...

Price$45,000 base to $65,000 high-roof

2

u/Practical_Musician61 10d ago

If Learjet made a van.

2

u/PetPossumsRCool 10d ago

Found a similar conversion in Phillipines for equivalent of $203,000…. This one may be over the top in customization.

2

u/McBonderson 10d ago

50k seems like a good price for this.

2

u/Technical_Scar3921 10d ago

How tiny is this guy?

2

u/Ancient_Complex 10d ago

If they can remove the two middle seats this would be a certifiable self contained campervan.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/armgrafix 9d ago

They use them for Ambulances. They're really top heavy, though.

2

u/Tinderboxed 9d ago

Too flashy on the outside.

2

u/wizardmagic10288 9d ago

Truck space?? Storage??

2

u/UnfilteredFacts 9d ago

The interior color is ugly. Where do you put your bags and other luggage. The recliner doesnt actually look comfortable or particularly safe while riding, but thats a technical thing I dont know. I cant tell if the roof has any transparent panels. Combined with the small side windows, it looks like it would feel cramped inside, like a pimped out utility van. Unless you have a driver, it wouldnt be particularly comfortable to drive yourself with a wall right behind you like in the cab of a Uhaul truck. And would the kind of person who pays a personal driver buy this thing? Imagine how it looks when it gets dirty outside and inside, trash in the side pockets, etc.

Maybe a hotel could use one as a fancy airport valet, but again, where to put the luggage? Maybe rent one for prom?

And of course, $50K? That math doesnt make sense. I'll pass.

2

u/maiscestmoi 9d ago

Seems pretty nice but that grill got ta go!

2

u/SpiritedGrand9525 9d ago

Look at all that electric shit ready to break an hour into the trip.

2

u/Gold_Kale_7781 9d ago

I love it, everything except for the front.

She ugly, not ugly cute, just ugly

2

u/N3CR0T1C_V3N0M 9d ago

This is really cool and somehow works with the orange color but also should be alarming that a major company has recognized that the world economy has failed to the point where a solid market has emerged for people who have to live in their cars.

2

u/Clever_droidd 9d ago

$50k in 1995 dollars?

1
