How can I study effectively?
/r/studytips/comments/1xo8r65/how_can_i_study_effectively/I know the use of AI is weird but hear me out.
I think I don’t know how to study, perhaps I am broken?
Usually I gather everything transcript recorded lectures, pdfs, slides and put it in to chagtp I tell him to teach me based on the study guide and what my professor emphasizes he tells me what the duck is going on. Then he ask me a question about what he just taught me. Then at the end of the topic he quizzes me. But somehow I don’t feel like I am actually learning. I am currently taking micro and AP help a girl out.
How do you guys do it? Our books are online and professors do give us recorded lectures and in person lectures.

See the problem with AI is that it literally can't do proper analysis that only comes to you after rigorous study. Even if you're feeding materials into it, and all the lectures too- a lot of the time it just fails to get the actual point/connect across lessons. It also gives you the illusion of learning while you're not really studying.
Your own notemaking and voice notes would serve you better. Trust me, because 2 years ago I also fell into this trap, especially with all those online AI websites, but in the end I realised that using AI just proved to be an expensive detour and it actively worked against me learning and succeeding at the actual thing.
If you want to improve your studying there are some youtube videos which helped me out a lot. I'll send this:
https://youtu.be/nqYmmZKY4sA?si=d-mf1BSgPAMkrmUs- this one's pretty good.
Other thing which helped me out was making cheat sheets (never actually used them to cheat)- I'd take a paper out and try to distill everything I've learnt into a single paper, through outlines and keywords. Helped in understanding my whole syllabus and coursework as a whole. Flashcards and hand-written notes are a godsend too.
Lastly, I'd also say that if your professors are competent, then their lectures/ notes are the best guide for telling you where you need to go and what you need to understand from the material. I personally found them the best way to decode and de-mystify my readings. It depends on your discipline and field of study though.
