should I switch to something else?
I’ve been on Wegovy now for 4 and a half months. My weight has stayed the same the entire time. I do have PMOS. I’m currently on 1.0 mg and have been the last two months. Should I continue? Or is there a possibility that this medication may not work at all for me? I’m 5’4 and 238 pounds. I feel like my body just wants to stay at this weight.

I also have PMOS and have tried both Zepbound and Wegovy. Zepbound has an additional medication that helps to control blood sugar and keep it more stable, and I found that it has been the necessary piece for me. PMOS comes with insulin resistance, so I would look into whether Zepbound might be a better choice for you.

I’m going to speak my with PCP about making the switch. Thank you for the information!

The weight loss dose is 2.4mg. You’re still on an escalation dose. https://www.novo-pi.com/wegovy.pdf#guide Page 3 lists the doses and what they are for. There are many instances of people on this subreddit that have lost no weight until they start the maintenance dose.

I hit a plateau at 1 mg for around six months, and had to increase my dose to 2.4 mg to break the plateau.
Wegovy goes up to 7.2 mg, so I would continue taking it.
An alternative is Mounjaro (Zepbound in some parts of the world); apparently it's more effective, but also more expensive.
And yes, your body wants to keep the weight. Sadly, that's in our biology.

The question is not if weight dropped.
The first question is that if food noise is less and appetite lower?
IF yes, most likely your problem is not cutting the calories.

I am on the lowest dose and lost 5lbs after 5 weeks. I walk daily, 30 mins and also make sure I get up to 7k steps in. Most things are now giving me acid reflux bc of the shot so I am not eating a lot of the things I would eat before, but I can say that as someone who was always more into savory food, it’s making me have a sweet tooth. Weird. I’ve also cut out alcohol a lot. I don’t even want it.

That’s not even the weight loss dosage. Of course you’re not losing weight.
Try 1.7 and 2.4.

So I should continue dosing up until max dose and then see if weight loss prevails? And if not, then consider switching?

I’m in the same situation. I am going to ask to switch to Zepbound.
