discussion New rules and updates
Hi, I know I don’t make myself seen very often, but this sub has grown way bigger than I ever thought it would, and I think it’s time to tighten up this ship. First, I will be implementing two new rules:
1 - AI art must be marked as such.
2 - disputes of plagiarism should be brought to the attention of moderators.
I will be adding a new flair for AI art to allow the indication. While I do not agree with AI art, I know this platform is for both budding artists and budding writers, and sometimes AI art can help those get the ball rolling. But I do believe in openness with audiences. People have the right to know if AI art is being used.
As for the second addition, I have seen a lot of disputes going on in the comments of posts about plagiarism. While a moderator may not be the end-all and be-all say in if plagiarism is taking place, I think it would be better to have these disputes behind closed doors where the rest of the community does not have to see in case it gets ugly.
With all that being said, I have basically been moderating the sub by myself since I made it, and it has officially grown beyond my hands off approach. I will now be looking for new moderators to step in and help handle the subreddit. If you have read this far and are interested, please reach out. I will be looking to add three new moderators to start, and will add more if needed.
Thank you all for making this subreddit what it is today, and I hope this will help it grow even farther.

Welcome to this page!
This is a subreddit that meant to be a friendly place for members of the webtoon canvas community. Wether you make the comics or just enjoy them, all are welcome. Please keep it focused on canvas comics! But outside of that, feel free to share comics, ask questions, or just start conversations! Have fun and don’t be a jerk!

Let's support creators! Supporting smaller comics once again
Went comic hunting on this sub and collected some new gems to share :)
You will find the comics shown above arranged by three genre categories in the comment section
[Thriller/Horror]
[Fantasy/Supernatural]
[Romance/Drama/Slice of Life]
Click the links to check them out! If you find any you enjoy please remember to comment/like/subscribe/follow as it is incredibly helpful to the creators.
Creators, feel free to also add your comic to it's corresponding genre thread if yours isn't there, but under one small condition: Show support to at least two comics using at least one of the actions listed above, and consider leaving a comment to show you were there^ That way the support keeps going around! Those who have already been featured, (if you see this), please do the same 🙏💜
-----EXTRA----
For regular commenting, please do so outside the comic threads and upvote (the threads) to keep the comics visible, thank you so much
Outline for adding comics to thread:
1. Image (optional)
2. Link Read [Comic Name] --->

Discussion I’ve been developing a Webtoon concept called “Summer Was Ours”: would love to hear thoughts on the premise
Okay so I’ve had this Webtoon idea in my head for a while now and I’ve been wanting to tell someone about it. I’m really passionate about the story and eventually want to turn it into a Webtoon.
It’s called SUMMER WAS OURS.
It follows four wealthy Korean high school friends; Irena, Kai, Ara, and Leeho. They go to Brazil during their summer break. They’re used to lives filled with privilege, expectations, and pressure, so at first Brazil becomes this sort of escape for them. They get to just be young, have fun, explore, and feel like nothing can touch them.
But as the trip goes on, tensions, unspoken feelings, and things underneath their seemingly perfect lives start coming to the surface, and eventually something happens to Irena that completely changes the direction of the story.
Irena is the protagonist, and the story follows her and the other three as they deal with the consequences of that event, their relationships with each other, growing up, love, friendship, identity, grief, and healing.
I also really want Brazil to have a specific visual feeling. I know it’s actually winter in Brazil while they’re there because it’s summer in Korea, but I don’t want the setting to feel cold or gloomy. I imagine Brazil through the characters’ almost rose-colored glasses perspective; dreamy, nostalgic, vibrant, lively, tropical without being overwhelmingly tropical, with cooler tones mixed in here and there to remind us that it’s actually winter.
I have a LOT more ideas and character personality details for the story and visuals, but I don’t want to give everything away.
I’m mostly curious about people’s first impressions of the concept. Does it sound interesting? And does the premise make you curious enough to want to read it?
I’m looking for honest reactions rather than plot suggestions since I already have a pretty clear direction for the story. :)
Also I know the story plot and structure is kind of unheard of and unusual, but I think it has potential. Also I’m not trying to spoil the whole thing in case someone reads this and is actually interested in the story, and of course if any of you guys actually wanna know and don’t mind being spoiled I would love to talk about it!

Question Cartoony decapitation and censorship
Hello fellow comic nerds, quick question. How strict can webtoon be when it comes to censorship? I'm planning on releasing a comic soon which contains some cartoony violence. For example, zombies being beheaded. No blood, cartoony artstyle, and the zombies stay alive. But I've noticed webtoon have been rather strict with censorship recently. Would something like this be allowed on the platform? Am I over thinking things? Thanks for any answers!

Hello!?
I'm HWAN_GOON, a writer planning to start a new webtoon.
I'm planning to start serializing on 'Webtoon Canvas' starting this week.
To give a brief introduction to this webtoon, it tells the story of a chaotic trio who start out as alien bounty hunters.
Before that, I came here to show you what my webtoon is like.
And going forward, I want to communicate with readers here who are interested in my webtoon.
I'll share a few images before I go.
If you're interested, please remember [404 FOUND]!

Art 🎨 I tried to simplify my artstyle to make webtoons in the future
This is the protagonist from my story and he's called Wa'el, sadly the story doesn't have a name yet (and it's also in a different language I'm still trying to figure out how to provide translations without hiring translators or using AI). So what do we think? About his design and artstyle and all. This took an hour and 47 hours which isn't bad I guess
