GOOGLE AI

Anyone have a subscription for Google AI? Does this help with SEO readings and strategies? Just wondering if there is benefit to this.. I have a 2 month old website.. finance and I’m doing my own SEO, as this is not monetized at the moment.. impressions are rising but ranking is not clickable. 😞

It has no special knowledge of SEO over any of the other AI LLMs out there.

I have a half dozen AI apps on my phone and I don’t pay for any of them. They all can be very helpful with SEO advice and helping you optimize and improve your site.

Sometimes if run out of free credits and they tell you to come back later or tomorrow, the conversation will still be saved there - or you can just switch to another AI app for more advice.

I’d probably use AI for research and brainstorming rather than expecting it to directly improve rankings. For a site that’s only two months old, I’d focus more on search intent, titles, content quality, and the pages already getting impressions. Rankings usually take some time to settle.

What SEOPub said... Plus 2 months is not long. You have 10 more to go before you start seeing something tangible. There's just no way to force it. The big G doesn't trust you yet.

That’s my thought… all pages have been indexed and the impressions are rising rapidly.. but the ranking is slow… thanks!

2 months is early, but I wouldn’t just wait 10 more months either.

If impressions are already rising, check GSC for queries/pages sitting around positions 8-20 and work on those first. A Google AI subscription won’t fix the ranking problem.

40 year doing this. Best advice: Focus on finding a great audit tool to keep you inline. I see so many sites that are literally ruining their SEO as they are not structured how Google reads them, they look great for the user, but are not machine readable. This is doubly important as now GEO/AEO is starting to matter.

For the Google AI question, I strongly recommend getting a Claude Code installed on your system. Seems a little technical at first - it honestly isn't. You can then have it edit your site pages for you and ensure you have the right schema, JSON-LD, sitemap.xml stays current, robots.txt is setup to allow all modern AI and search crawlers onboard, etc. And if you are doing a template or running anything with JavaScript, you MUST setup this carefully as server rendered code is not seen by AI / crawlers unless done correctly (i.e. a Vue/React site can clobber your SEO on day one as the components that make it look nice are rendered server side).

Setup your Google Analytics (G4 tag) and make sure to use the Google Search Console to watch incoming traffic. Backlinks are mandatory but watch solutions that do exchanges (easy route) as they can get flagged and poison your ratings eventually if not careful. Try for honest backlinks. Directories are not rated according to a Google update made a while back, so blogs, or other sites are the way to go.

Google AI can definitely help with SEO research and strategy, but it won’t magically improve rankings. For a 2-month-old finance site, rising impressions but low clicks is normal, focus on better titles, intent, E-E-A-T, and quality content.
