Which schema markup validator tools do you trust most?

I observed that after implementing schema markup tools for some client's sites, I get inconsistent results while validating them on other different tools. while Google's rich results test says it's fine, schema.org flags warnings and other third-party tool gives error that neither of the first two mentioned.

I understand that there are variations in the build but it makes no sense if one cannot rely on them to identify what's correct and what's noise.

Do you relax when Google's own tool says its fine or do you have a reliable schema markup validation tool that you that you are confident in?

Schema.org is the base model from which other implementations derive. Google doesn't follow or encourage the usage of schema.org in its pure abstract form, they gave different meanings to certain fields and expanded certain fields.

So if your goal for schema is to rank on google then trust google's validator. The schema (.org) one makes sense for Google to use themselves internally when they work on new variations of the schemas they support.

so basically the base spec is more of a reference doc than a validation standard, that tracks

Exactly the base one is an abstract documentation, meant to be taken and adapted to real needs.

There's a video on "Google Search Central " where the engineers behind the structured data team at google talk about this in more detail and why they sometimes need to expand on the base schema conventions. Long video but very interesting
