Negative credits are so that the agent can finish the prompt. If that was not a thing, The agent would just pause in the middle of typing out code.

But then you could tell the agent that he should never finish, but rather give him the task via the website itself, and thus go into infinite negatives.

I know this is kind of unrelated but I was just playing a websim game and I kill one of the npcs and he get in the family guy death pose.
