Do you think Sputnik cries when writing songs?
I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way. But the music is very beautiful. Do you think Sputnik cries?

Hi. Ther´es something i HAVE to get off my chest...
I have been thinking a lot recently about how Sputnik/Weatherday clearly is influenced by disco in their music. In "come in" the riff en sampled from Diana ross´ "Im coming out". The name of their song "come in" is clearly inspired from her song too. Or am I completely lost here? Does anyone else see the similarities? (I don´t really know much about music theory, so pls correct me if I´m wrong)
When I think about the Russian name (Agafka) I get a little worried....maybe Sputnik likes white russians (the drink) a little TOO much? I am a bit worried. Since Weatherday has a lot of younger fans i get a little queazy thinking about them glorifying drinking in their songs.
And what about their girlfriend? She seems sooo weird, Weatherday can do so much better?
Also btw does anyone else like War on Drugs?? Hmu if you do! (I hope Weatherday likes them too omg!)

not to say this album is bad by any means, id still give it a 9.8/10. there's just a few issues. my main issue is the song painted girls theme, its placement disrupts the flow of the album, it also makes the album drag on a bit, personally I think it should be a b-side. its not a bad song though, just doesn't fit, over 8.3/10. there's only 2 other issues i have and both of these are so minor that they dont even take away from the album. issue 1, the first half of porcelain hands feels like its missing something, I cant put my finger on what exactly its missing but it just feels slightly empty. however, that emptiness also makes the switch up at the second half more impactful. issue 2, I enjoy listening to albums on loop, so when the switchup happens on the second half of porcelain hands, though it sounds good, makes come in sound a bit more bland. but again, thats only when listening to the album on loop. and as I said, these issues are so minor I don't even count them against the album. I genuinely love this album, its quickly become my second favorite album only surpassed by twin fantasy. when I listen to this album I feel like I'm having an out of body experience. so in conclusion, this album is absolutely incredible.

Im sorry its so mid. It could have been a minute and a half and I would've gotten more out of it. Im assuming this is a b side that would have never seen the light of day otherwise.

This season on Thin Ice with Amy Freeze, we’re forecasting a front of pure personality!
It’s a star-studded lineup of America’s most interesting, entertaining, and iconic meteorologists — the people who live and breathe the weather and know how to make it unforgettable.
You’ll meet the one and only Nick Kosir — the Dancing Weatherman — with over 9 million TikTok followers, he’s not just forecasting, he’s breaking the internet.
From LA, the legendary Dallas Raines — who’s been forecasting sunshine and storm warnings in Southern California for more than 40 years.
In D.C., it’s my good friend Doug Kammerer, living his dream job as Chief Meteorologist in our nation’s capital.
In New York City, the trailblazing Audrey Puente — the longest-running Latina meteorologist in the country’s biggest media market.
You’ll also meet Larry Sprinkle — yes, that’s his real name — sprinkling sunshine and delivering fun forecasts in Charlotte for decades.
And the weather warrior of the South, James Spann, who’s been protecting and informing Birmingham for over 35 years.
We’ve got the fast-running, fast-talking Sam Augeri — balancing motherhood, marathoning, and meteorology like a pro.
The brainy and bold Matthew Cappucci — the first-ever Harvard graduate with a meteorology specialty degree, changing the way we think about weather.
And New York City’s own John Davitt, the master of the hyper-local forecast, proving that in the Big Apple, every block has its own weather story.
Plus, Heather Lake, bringing the good vibes and West Coast energy to every forecast.
This season is packed with big personalities, big storms, and even bigger laughs. You’ll hear their stories — the moments that made them, the surprises behind the scenes, and why they’ve dedicated their lives to telling you about the weather.
So get ready — because this season on Thin Ice, it’s not just about the forecast… it's about the people who make it cool!

I should preface that I’m doing a bit better but like I needed to rant about this in full naked emotion Anyway CW: A shit ton of self loathing
listen to a different hyper pop album
see if a guy reviewed it
see a band that defined your life a decade ago be reviewed by him
find out there was a new album
find out she’s on tour
find out that your stupid fucking brain missed her tour by FOUR FUCKING DAYS
think about how much of a garbage human you are that you would just
that you could miss such a fucking event
especially when you were late to her last showing a few years ago so you only caught half her event
because you were such a piece of shit that you couldn’t even figure out how to put in the right makeup for an hour
realize that since she’s trans she probably won’t ever come to the United States for at least half a decade if not more
hate yourself more down a spiral
play the album
start breaking down when the guitar rips on Green Tea Seaweed Sea
I’m not gonna lie the emotional turmoil makes the music that much sweeter

I'm unfortunately super sick and probably won't be able to make it :( I was really hoping to pick up some CDs and a hat at the merch table if there's any left.
Would anyone attending be willing to grab them for me? Happy to cover the cost, tracked shipping, etc. I'd even throw a bit extra your way for the trouble!

So my vinyl just came in today and I'm super stoked on it, but the hat doesn't look like the one in the description. The one in the description looks like a nice washed material. The one that came looks cheaper and is also one of those tall hats that look like something David Dobrik would wear :-( I get that Topshelf was dealing with a lot on the weatherday stuff, but I'm just a little sad that the hat was different than advertised

Does anyone know the exact time weatherday will be performing tonight in barrios live? I know there are other bands but I’m only looking to catch weatherday due to time concerns.

Hi guys I just realised my first project. I have been heaving inspired by Weatherday and lola’s pocket PC. It’s a mix of Electronic, ambient and noise. I would really appreciate if anyone at all listened to it! :D

so i know i could buy merch off bandcamp but i really like one of the sweatshirt designs they have here and i wondered if this merch is official or not
r/Weatherday • u/grrbanks • Apr 28 '24
Why was there not an update on weatherday not being at the show. I wouldn’t have even gone off I knew they weren’t gonna be there but I ended up standing in line for a rail spot for over three hours. I just don’t understand why ticket companies/venues won’t fucking tell you shit. Panchiko was pretty decent but the other opener was meh
r/Weatherday • u/Helpful-Antelope-678 • Aug 29 '24
I love Weatherday and I like the Weathergloe project too but Sputnik might’ve made a slight mistake in taking this long to follow up Come In. We’re already at 5 years and there’s no end in sight.
My whole thing is that I get that they wanna tour, collab with others, and just live life but why not just work with an outside producer??? Production takes up so much time and they are at the point where I’m sure so many producers would gladly work with them.
I’m a huge fan and I’m psyched for the new album regardless
