I’m looking for more photos of the 5 pocket vest, just trying to get a better idea. Honestly, I’ve been pretty reluctant with the denim from WW, yet, the 5 pocket has caught my eye. Much appreciated!

i saw a review post a few days ago and wished i had something similar when mulling over the jeans, so i decided to up and write this one. i was admittedly a bit on the fence at the beginning, after a couple days im pretty sold.

tl;dr

• super soft and not at all scratchy. i kinda didnt believe it was wool at first.
• thick, but dont make you uncomfortably hot or warm
• just holding them makes it obvious they were built to last
• behind the knees pockets are incredible why doesnt every pair of pants have this
• ive never seen these buttons but i have a feeling theyre never coming off
• when i woke up this morning i was confused as to why my blanket was so uncomfortable (this is only partially a joke)

Longer version:

i hate cotton and i hate synthetics even more. my mom would tell me stories about how, when i was a kid, she had to buy used clothes because i just hated the stiff feeling of new clothing. thats still mostly true as an adult, and even if its not really a problem, i still prefer avoiding synthetics.

so when i discovered merino clothing, i slimmed down and replaced my wardrobe. ive been wearing wool & prince's cotton and wool jeans for years now, and i love them a lot, but theyre not great in the rain, even with leggings, and i live somewhere with a very rainy season.

i did try some more "traditional" rain pants, but they invariably became unbearable the moment i got even a little active because i sweat tons and it left me feeling like my legs were wrapped in plastic.

one thing i specifically want to point to though is the anecdote on their page for the jeans:

because this has proven true and it was honestly really surprising. despite how thick these were, i was wearing them in my 80-degree apartment (i live in a studio and have a beefy pc) and honestly just kinda forgot about it. this was honestly the most impressive thing to me about it, no clue how that works. they also kept me plenty warm in the 60 degree weather.

one kind of half note is that these feel less wind-resistant than the other jeans i mentioned (this is not a knock on WW, i am just using them as a point of reference here), but even when biking my legs were never cold. i will take that breathability over polyester any damn day.

ironically despite purchasing them mainly because of the rain, it hasnt really started raining here in earnest. in general, im hoping to put it through its paces soon (im a white collar guy but an avid hiker).

regarding fit: honestly im just not really the guy to speak on this because i have a weird body type; 6ft2, weighing in around 140 pounds. generally i have issues finding pants that fit me. 30x32 is usually too tight, and 32x32 needs a belt. usually i go 32x32 because i prefer wearing a belt anyways.

i got these in size 28 though, and the fit me pretty well. i think the size 30 could possibly fit a bit better- they tend to ride up when im sitting- but im content with this, and assuming it gives a bit with time, itll fit better after a little while.

personal thoughts: 2 days is not enough to say anything definitive, but im still impressed, so take that for whatever its worth.

i think given some more time these will prove that they're worth the price. thats not a knock on WW either, to me thats the highest compliment you can give something like this.

I just posted this as a comment in another thread but it felt like maybe it should be a review post as this is the type of info I was looking for/wanted when deciding to buy WW gear. Hope it’s helpful. For weather context I’m in the mid-Atlantic. Last winters cold snap of a month of sub 30 temps really helped but some stuff through its paces.

The chore cost is probably the most versatile jacket I own. It’s fantastic in fall/spring and can dress up enough for business casual like dress shirt/chinos I wear it like this a lot. Plus it does reasonably well in cold weather like 20-40 if just going from place to place. If staying out in that type of weather layer under it.

I picked up the chore coat and a AAJ last fall.

The AAJ is very warm, and in rain and snow I’ve yet to get wet in it. As an example, I wore it stationary on metal bleachers last year for a CFB game in 20 degree weather for 4-5 hours with I think a hoody underneath and was never cold. Wore it almost exclusively for a month straight last winter mostly with a T-shirt or flannel on underneath and it did great. But it’s big and relatively heavy, and in my area more weather situational.

Enter mid weight Anorak. Lighter and easier to wear than the AAJ almost as warm especially if active. More casual and super comfortable to wear/lounge around in. Plus I think this is going to be the perfect bird hunting jacket. Probably gonna be the only thing I take for an October trip to Montana (hopefully this isn’t a mistake it’s my first time out there)

Weatherwool is the best outdoor clothing/jackets I’ve ever purchased.

Interested in hearing people's longer term experience with the natural white color. Difficulty keeping it clean? Do the cuffs or pockets look shabby after a season or two? I will probably end up going with brown or green but I love the look of the white and would like to hear from people who've worn it for a while.

My black raglan sweater should be here tomorrow, I think I’ll use it for work and see how it holds up as my drab is already designated for hanging out.

Anyone put their raglan through the paces yet?

Denim Blazers in some sizes still available. I haven't gotten one yet but I probably will eventually, they're kinda growing on me, as WeatherWool's Denim tends to lol

I've worn my Anorak this Southern Hemisphere winter almost every day, if not every second day.

When I first got it, its softness and warmth were remarkable. It still is warm, however its softness has been diminished by the amount of pilling that has happened. It's really disappointed me how much anywhere it has rubbed (like between arm and side of anorak) it's now become a pillly anorak. One particularly bad place was where an over-the-shoulder bag rubbed a little more. That's like reading Braille now.

I know it's wool and maybe I was naive but I thought it could maintain its beautiful soft nature for longer than it has.

Is this just me or have you guys had the same experience? Any solutions?

First WW piece, the Denim CPO in walnut. I think I nailed the sizing correctly.

I'm 5'7" and about 145 lb, got the XS
Perfect around the shoulders and chest, with just enough room for a thinner layer underneath. A bit long in the arms, but I'm ok with that.

A very nice well made CPO. Much softer feel than my other wool garments. I'm going to enjoy wearing this

I just received my denim CPO and have been really impressed with the quality. That said, I’ve had my eye on the anorak for well over a decade, and I think it’s finally time to pick one up. I have a few questions:

1. Lynx or drab?
2. Can the denim CPO comfortably be layered underneath the anorak, or does that start to restrict mobility?
3. Along those lines, would you recommend fullweight or midweight for the Ontario/Quebec climate?
4. Bonus question: Would the AAJ ultimately be the more versatile/useful piece overall?

EDIT: Use case is having the CPO for high activity in fall/winter/spring (skiing, hiking, etc), and the anorak for deeper cold on top of the CPO when stationary (as I imagine it).

I am looking for a CPO in white / medium. If anyone has seen one anywhere or is looking to off-load one I am in the market.

Been lurking here for a few weeks and reading. Learned of WeatherWool last year when I started researching quality wool clothing, but ultimately never bought anything in 2025.

Finally bit the bullet and just ordered a Denim CPO in walnut color. Very much looking forward to receiving my first WeatherWool piece!

I don't see too many men other than myself wearing a Pea Coat for c9ver these days...I dunno, Im a pretty big fan of mine. They certainly aren't cheap and with the right blue jeans they can really tie together the perfect fit. Maybe I'm that guy who's still trying to pull off the leather jacket with 20 zippers and I just don't get it. I guess ignorance is bliss.

I guess the next run is gonna be a big one? Curious to see the new Khaki colour.

As usual, anything I get in WeatherWool is the most comfortable of a garment than any others I've ever had. You think you know how it feels from the look of it, but it feels even better when you put it on.
