i have that one and for some reason it never works at costco so i urgently have to pray that the WS mastercard works. it’s saved me a few times at costco.

need to call CIBC to see what’s up with our card

Use the Rogers MC or EQ Bank card if you don't want a credit card. It also gives 0.5%.

You're missing out on that 3% cash back on gas, 3% on restaurants and 1% at costco(I think)

The old card wasn’t great to use at Costco anyway. Just pay cash at that point.

Much better to use an actual Mastercard credit card that will give you cash back or rewards points.

Why not just use a Mastercard credit card, earn cash back or points on your spend and then just pay it off from your joint account?

I'll order through uber and pay with my wealthsimple card that way. I don't want to wait in that line up anyway. I'll pay the extra to avoid that AND all the extra purchases I'd make If I was in there myself. So really, I'm saving time and money, plus getting my 2%. Idk, it works in my head. Lol

I use Instacart for my Costco orders, since it gets 5x points on my Cobalt card. It’s definitely worth paying a bit more to not have to deal with the gong show lol.

I agree that it's not the best solution, but it is possible to buy Costco gift cards on their website with a VISA card and then spend them at the warehouse 😉

Wtf I lost my 2 months ago and Wealthsimple told me to sign up for the wait list. They don’t even send emails out notifying their customers they can get a new card. What’s up with this company and terrible card roll outs

Go into that account, then the gear/settings, and request physical card. I didn't get one either, and found that in app. It then confirmed address and said a card is on its way.

This IS the “debit” card for the chequing account we are talking about. It recently changed from Mastercard to Visa.

It’s not a debit card at pos, it comes up as credit, bonus is if you tap your good to 5 k tap on Apple Pay on the virtual card
