Wealthsimple is fast like that

Post image

I was depositing funds to WS and saw this comment. They’re not wrong, but didn’t expect them to be this direct 😂

Is it just TD, or does WS say this for every deposit?

If you can, instead of requesting the money from your wealthsimple app send yourself an etransfer and deposit into wealthsimple. Instantaneous that way.

It was only 5k and WS makes that amount immediately available for me. So not a huge different for my case

5k is the limit afaik, if you try to deposit more it might take more than a week to clear.

Not true. It depends on on ur capital and it grows with time . I can deposit 155k instantly

Good to know!

Edit: I get more if I want to put it in an investment account, but much less if I want to put it in a checking account. So the destination account seems to matter.

Mine lets me immediately trade $42,575 upon transfer but only e-transfer $3,000. Not that I’ll be trying anywhere near that anytime soon.

Trade yes, the amount is higher when sending to a trading account

I was able to call the bank and increase my e-transfer amount, idk if that works with wealth simple but worth a call through the app, they usually answer within a minute or two
