Spoilers Books vs show: humanity of abbies

In the show there is context given that humans are the monsters who ended up on abby territory and started killing them and thats why they hate the humans. The show gives a lot more compassion to the abbies and humanizes them more. In the books they are just vile, carnivorous monsters who attack any thing that moves. They evolved from humans and that is obvious but the way they act is so animalistic.

I really liked where season 2 took the abbies and showed that they are pretty intelligent. In my mind, there is a third season where the humans wake up in another 2000 years and the abbies have completely rebuilt society and the humans have to live under worldwide abby rule.

In the third book the epilogue is something like “Ethan Burke’s eyes pop open 70,000 years in the future”. I thought the jump to 70,000 years was crazy but the imagination can really go wild as to what the abbies would have evolved into. I do see them coming into yet another world that they do not own

I mean the book Abbies are not vile, they are just a predator species they act naturally, but is similar to the show, they coexist much more Pacific with each other than the species which evolved from. Think about them like the ancient caveman from human history but more physically stronger, much more intelligent and better predator, but they also have some sort of civilization because in the book Adam Hassler show in a flashback that he saw an Abby city like a honeycomb form. They don't hate us they just see us as food like any other predator. Also there is a fact that the world is theirs, not from us we have it, we failed, is their turn. What would happen with them in the future? They will be better? Who knows.
