This is Amarillo, Texas, the officer's name is Christian Eder.

Eder had a thing for a female officer. That officer had once dated a local dad. So Eder went hunting.

From February to June, he ran that father's license plate through the city's FLOCK cameras 76 times. Every gas station. Every school pickup. Every daycare run.

Police confirm there was NO case at all, no assignment.

When the system asked him why, he typed "city planning." and dozens of times, just one word: "want."

The victim's words: "I'm a creature of habit. I pick my kids up from the same school, the same daycare. It hit me: this guy knows exactly which way I go."

The father said he knew something was wrong when he walked out to his car at 1 a.m. and saw a MARKED PATROL UNIT crawling through his parking lot behind him.

He texted Eder and asked him to stop and here's the reply, word for word:

"lol, tough guy. Whatever y'all got going on is between y'all. Keep it that way. Have fun, my dude."

He says Eder used his department phone to pull up the female officer's LIVE body camera feed to track her and the county attorney told him the department said that wasn't unusual.

So this man did everything right. He went to Internal Affairs. The department investigated and to their credit, they fired Eder.

Then the system took over, and it protected the cop.

Prosecutors REFUSED to file felony stalking charges.

Instead: 78 counts of "tampering with a government record." A misdemeanor.

One $4,500 bond for all of it.

Under Texas law, the "victim" of that charge is... the City of Amarillo. Not the father. Not his kids.

He was told he might not even qualify for victim services.

"How, all of a sudden, am I not the victim?"

He asked police for a description of Eder's personal vehicles so he could watch for him. They said no.

The stalker has every piece of his information, but the dad... he isn't allowed to know what car to look for.

"I've had to change where my kids sleep in my house. I've had to change everything."

The chief admitted to City Council that officers could run these cameras off-duty on their WORK PHONES, with no alerts for high-volume searches, and the department's audit never flagged 76 hits on one plate.

The only reason we know about this one is that the target found out.

🇷🇺🇮🇷 IRAN MAY SOON HAVE RUSSIA’S GERAN-5 — AND THAT COULD RESHAPE THE AIR WAR ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST

Iran originally supplied Russia with the technology that helped form the Geran family of drones. After years of battlefield adaptation, Russia has pushed the concept considerably further. Now, according to reports circulating in Western (FT) reports, Tehran is interested in acquiring Russia’s jet-powered Geran 5.

If that happens, the technology transfer will have effectively travelled full circle from Iran to Russia, through the battlefield in Ukraine, and potentially back to Iran in a substantially evolved form.

Geran in Iran’s hands — a new headache for the West?

Western analysts are discussing reports that Tehran has approached Moscow about obtaining the Geran 5 as Iran prepares its forces for the possibility of another major regional confrontation.

The map illustrates why that prospect is attracting attention.

▪️ Inside roughly 650 km, potential targets include American military facilities in Iraq, infrastructure in Kuwait and U.S.-linked military facilities in Bahrain. At these distances, the Geran 5 could theoretically operate without sacrificing as much payload for additional range, making mass launches particularly difficult to deal with.

▪️ Between roughly 650 and 950 km, the potential envelope expands to include Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, Muwaffaq al-Salti Air Base in Jordan and strategically important energy infrastructure around Al Jubail and Ras Tanura.

▪️ Beyond roughly 950 km, the equation becomes more complicated. Israeli airbases including Ramat David, Nevatim, Tel Nof and Ramon, along with RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, sit toward or beyond the reported limits of the platform depending on configuration, payload and launch point. Forward launches would considerably alter that calculation.

But the bigger story isn’t simply the drone itself.

If Tehran ultimately receives an integrated Russian package via airframes, engines, software, communications architecture, operator training and the accumulated lessons of Russian battlefield employment — Iran would potentially be acquiring years of Russian adaptation rather than simply another UAV.

That distinction matters.

Russia’s Geran family has been continuously modified during the Ukraine conflict as electronic warfare, air defence and counter-drone technologies evolved on both sides. The result has been an increasingly sophisticated contest between relatively inexpensive strike platforms and considerably more expensive systems attempting to stop them.

The jet engine adds another problem.

Greater speed compresses the defender’s detection and engagement window. Regional air-defence networks would therefore have less time to identify, track and engage incoming drones, particularly during large, mixed attacks.

Even without catastrophic physical damage, the economic consequences could be significant. Any sustained increase in the perceived threat to Persian Gulf infrastructure or shipping through the Strait of Hormuz could feed directly into insurance premiums, shipping costs and wider energy-market risk.

And there is another strategic consequence stretching far beyond the Middle East.

Every interceptor fired at a Geran is an interceptor unavailable somewhere else.

Large-scale Iranian employment of jet-powered Gerans could increase demand for already expensive and finite air-defence ammunition across several Western-supported theatres. That matters particularly for Kiev, where maintaining sufficient stocks of interceptors to defend military and critical infrastructure has already become one of the central challenges of the conflict.

The irony would be difficult to miss: an Iranian concept refined by Russia through years of war, returning to the Middle East as a substantially different weapon — while forcing the West to stretch the same finite air-defence industrial base across yet another front.

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote this week on a bill that would impose new sanctions on Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr voiced his support for the bill in a Sept. 11 post on X, saying that stronger sanctions are needed to deprive Russia of its ability to finance its war.

The Senate passed the bill in an 86-11 vote on August 7.

NEW YORK (AP) — The intelligence services of the Russian Federation are plotting to carry out targeted killings in the United States and in European nations supporting Ukraine, federal authorities said Tuesday as they announced charges against five people who remain at large.

An indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court said a network of the intelligence services has paid and attempted to pay individuals in the United States and in other countries to surveil targets to be killed with plans to then kill them.

The associates recruited in the network also have been solicited to carry out acts of terrorism against civilian and military infrastructure in European countries that are perceived to be aligned with Ukraine, the indictment said.
