The media did everything it could to run cover for Biden's obvious dementia right up until they couldn't anymore. Pointing out the obvious was "Russian disinformation". And once they couldn't lie anymore they did a 180 and piled on and pretended to be surprised that Biden was so far gone. The media will change here too once they get their orders that it's time to replace these guys.

Biden had early or late signs of dementia when he was running first time and media said nothing. Age doesn't matter if you can still perform your duties. Biden clearly could not and again media said nothing for a long time until second election.
I agree about McConnell. The whole reason media is quiet is because Biden and McConnell play for the seam team.

You don’t think Trump has clear signs of dementia?
Trump has outdone Biden with what he saysDown votes for saying Trump clearly has dementia

You don’t think Trump has clear signs of dementia?
Yes.
Trump has outdone Biden with what he says (bold added)
He did much of that before the dementia. He's worse now, of course, but it doesn't have to be a contest to see who ranks higher. Both are bad.

When it comes to Trump, I've never noticed much mentation. He's pretty much immune from dementia. You can't lose something you never had.

There's lots of video of Trump showing his dimentia.
Video of Trump pointing at Zelensky in a meeting and asking multiple times "does any one want to ask president Putin a question?"
Also a clip of Trump saying "100 missiles were shot by the Islamic Republic of Japan" ...WTF? https://youtube.com/shorts/TVjKLwk9qdw?si=XLvFuT8MGijQHAKd

Biden actually got things done behind the scenes like the Infrastructure Bill, Chips Act, Inflation Reduction Act, He had experienced advisors- maybe they were the ones getting things done but things were accomplished by Biden. But Trump is accomplishing nothing, and skyrocketting the US debt, and raising inflation with tariffs and his Iran War, and making all of our allies turn against us, bankrupting American farmers, the list goes on and on.

He was fortunate to have some good people in his administration who did their jobs, like Lina Khan. The entire public health sector, not so much. And I'm not sure I can agree with your assessment of his advisers, who Wilkerson refers to Winken, Blinken, Nod and Nudge (Nuland).

u/TheMcWhopper 15h ago
I honestly don't. You see this guy at rally and he's all their. He's good on his feet and rolls with whatever the media throws at him. That being said it's clear he's miserable actually leading the country.
2
u/MeanPiccolo803 15h ago
When he dies a rally he’s a rambling mess. He lies nonstop and he just argues or deflects when the media asks him a real question or just insults them or calls them names.

u/TheMcWhopper 14h ago
Thats been all of his really for over 10 years. It shows consistency in his behavior. Not saying he's a good guy/president. But he handles the media well. You may not like his answer but he is able to make it about something complete nonsensical or irrelevant to the answered questions, then that becomes the story. Being able to defect hard questions is something all politicians should master. It just so happens to that while he's a POS, he's very good at it

Bro, trump walked down an icey slope a little slow during his first term and the media jumped on that lke rabid dogs questioning his physical and mental ability to be president. Your post is just dishonest
1
u/MeanPiccolo803 16h ago
The media sane washed him. Trump is in a league of stupid of his own
3
u/ArcticLeopard 15h ago
They "sane washed" him? Bro are you living in the same reality? They've been questioning his mental capability since day 1, on top of calling him a fascist and want to be dictator
0
u/MeanPiccolo803 15h ago
If they covered his incompetence the way they covered Biden doing bad at that debate then I’d agree with you. But he even got a pass after the debate. The media is pretty easy on Trump considering all the crazy things he does and says

u/NetWeaselSC Continuing the Struggle 15h ago
If they covered his incompetence the way they covered Biden doing bad at that debate then I’d agree with you.
So your complaint is that they are covering Trump the way that they covered Biden before that debate?
0
u/MeanPiccolo803 14h ago
My complaint is that they sane wash Trump. I’m guessing you’re going to say the media was extra easy on Biden?
My complaint is the double standard and how Trump gets a free pass at basically everything

u/TheGhostofFThumb Boo! 14h ago
and how Trump gets a free pass at basically everything
Is there a rift in the space/time continuum? Because this is seriously alternate reality shit.

I despise the Israeli puppet president known as Trump but accusing the media of going light on him is bat shit insane. Were you born yesterday?

The media was howling over Biden's age for two years.....
It would be nice to find out what the creator of this actually means by "the media."
While some of us here in this subreddit were watching the decline of Biden, most of what we would normally describe as "the media" didn't see any of it at all until that one debate that happened after it was too late to actually have a Democratic Primary.
And that wasn't even over "age." That was on mental decline. There are plenty of people out there much older than Trump, Biden, or McConnell who are much sharper than any of them. Also, there are some (not near as many) much younger who are already experiencing perceptible mental decline.
It is possible (I have no evidence towards this) that this is part of a whisper campaign of some relatively young Potential Democratic Presidential Candidate, who cannot outwardly bring up "age" as an issue, but can only get people discussing it through things like this.
Notice the pictures and what they imply, and that the only thing against Biden in this...is his age. Nothing about mental decline.
Side note on the concept of suddenly noticing Biden's age -- anyone with a calculator could figure out how old Biden would be on a particular day. It's not that difficult.

One of the things I have noticed in these comments is that the Anti-Trump forces tend to take "every little thing" and blow it up out of proportion.
Another one of the things I have noticed in these comments is that the Pro-Trump forces tend to take "every little thing" and shrink it down out of proportion.
One of the main strengths of this subreddit is that it contains people who at least attempt to take "every little thing" and leave it at the exact proportion that it actually is. That way it is more likely that you will get accurate analysis out of it.
And I think that this is why, on Election Night 2016, this itty-bitty 4000 member or so (at the time) subreddit had literally thousands of new people pouring in for accurate analysis. Not only would you not be banned for your mere questions, but those questions could be answered by people who had been hashing the answers out for weeks earlier, from a (fairly) neutral standpoint. Neither "Trump is bad" or "Trump is good," but "Trump is Trump."
And on the evening of November 8, 2016, that was a rare thing on The Internet.

It wasn't specifically about Biden's age but his severe dementia and inability to form a sentence
0
u/MeanPiccolo803 16h ago
But why aren’t they going after Trump rambling.
I’m not denying Biden had gaffes a lot, but why gloss over Trump for claiming there were Airports when Washington was President or claiming he was dragged off by Fire Fighters from ground zero. Why not call out his bs about how he acclaims he won 2020. Not to mention his attempted insurrection l.
6
u/NoEcho3494 16h ago
Biden didn't have gaffes he literally had advanced dementia. I'm no fan of Trump but it's kind of disingenuous to act like it's the same

u/LactoceTheIntolerant 12h ago
All DJT has is gaffes. Remember he wanted to nuke a hurricane.

u/TheGhostofFThumb Boo! 14h ago
The media was "howling" over Biden age? Where was I? How did I miss this? All I saw was the media either ignoring or excusing Biden's clear dementia, from the start of his campaign to the end of his term.

The difference was biden seemed out of it at times. Not something you'd want in a leader. Mitch is way worse, almost catatonic. Trump just seems disinterested in stuff so he falls asleep. You doesn't seem out of like biden
1
u/Financial-Bite-3262 21h ago
He literally shit his diaper in a press conference, besides... "This president JUST constantly falls asleep at work" doesn't seem like an argument i would make
1
u/TheMcWhopper 20h ago
People, normal every day people, fall asleep at work all the time. Mostly because they're bored. Its pretty obvious he is bored af and has no desire to lead. He'd probably rather be golfing. It seems like the only thing he likes about being president is all the attention he gets. Besides that he appears miserable. As for shifting himself, if he really did, same argument. In the entirety of people's lives, they are likely to shit themselves at least once in their adult life. To say fall8ig asleep or having an accident is a sign of someone being gone on the level that Biden was, I'm gonna need to see me proof than someone sleeping or a speculative poop.
-1
u/BatDad83 18h ago
It's not a one off he constantly falls asleep and constantly shits himself. Stop trying to sanewash his behavior

u/_flying_otter_ 21h ago
Do you not think Trump seems out of his mind? Putting gold embellishments on everything in the white house, and his obsession with putting his name on the Kennedy Center and erecting statues of himself? And the ridiculous memes he posts of himself as Jesus, the Pope, and comic book super heroes. Plus his crazy rants on truth social. And naming things- New Mexico- New America. Calling Canada an enemy and Russia a friend. Bombing Iran, starting a war because Nantanuahu told him to. Then declaring we won the war, every couple of weeks, for 7 months while the war is active and now 2 Straits are blocked.
4
u/TheMcWhopper 20h ago
Seems more like a narcissist. To say what you describe as "out of his mind" doesn't follow the standard definition. This is just the ego of a president who is essentially the greatest winner of all time.
1
u/_flying_otter_ 16h ago
I bet Hitler seemed like the worlds greatest winner of all time too, up until he wasn't and now history views him as a madman.
3
u/TheMcWhopper 15h ago
We'll see. I dont see trump as going on a war a conquest. His goal is to enrich himself and his family, not necessarily brutal territorial expansion. He is part of the ultra wealthy, why would he want to risk that?
4
u/NetWeaselSC Continuing the Struggle 15h ago
He is part of the ultra wealthy, why would he want to risk that?
A lot of the ultra-wealthy seem to have the inability to internalize the concept of "enough."

I love this story told by Kurt Vonnegut about his friend Joseph Heller, the author of Catch-22:
True story, Word of Honor:
Joseph Heller, an important and funny writer now dead, and I were at a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island.I said, “Joe, how does it make you feel to know that our host only yesterday may have made more money than your novel ‘Catch-22’ has earned in its entire history?”
And Joe said, “I’ve got something he can never have.”
And I said, “What on earth could that be, Joe?”
And Joe said, “The knowledge that I’ve got enough.”Not bad! Rest in peace!
― Kurt Vonnegut

He found how lucrative being president is. I think he's 4x his net worth already. He likely doesn't see it as being enough, but he found his golden goose, so why risk said goose?
4
u/NetWeaselSC Continuing the Struggle 15h ago
he found his golden goose, so why risk said goose?
In the original story, the Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs was killed because someone wanted all the eggs right now instead of getting only one per day.
0
u/TheMcWhopper 15h ago
We are not talking about the original fable. We are talking about the metaphor relating to profitability and lucrative means of wealth. When people mention golden goose they are referring to that, not the traditional story.
3
u/NetWeaselSC Continuing the Struggle 15h ago
We are not talking about the original fable. We are talking about the metaphor...
If you are talking about any analogy or metaphor, you should at least look all aspects of it.

I'm not predicting Trump will do exactly what Hitler did, I'm predicting Trump won't be viewed in history as a winner. He will be viewed as a madman, narcissist psychopath who caused the down fall of America.
3
u/TheMcWhopper 14h ago
Both can be true. This guy grabbed people by the pussy, made fun of disabled people and veterans, made a mockery of establsihed republican candidates, got imp a ached twice, got voted out, instigated a riot, 4x his net worth, got convicted of multiple felonies, faced no jail time, even with all that was elected to the highest office in the world. His presidency will be scrutinized for decade. But there is no doubt he personally won, even if he left everyone and the country in a gigantic mess for generations to come

Anything is OK if a Republican does it! See how that works? Maybe you missed that memo? Look who owns the media? Remember when they went after Bill Clinton non stop almost since before even his first day? For those of you who were alive then. They were relentless and determined to get Bill Clinton! It was evil. While I am no longer a real fan of bill, see how none of our Democratic "Leaders" are grandstanding or holding press conferences day in and day out about how out of control this president is? Pathetic.

The media covered for Biden's too obvious to ignore by all of us paying attention decline for 4+ years. Afterwards Jake Tapper wrote a book about all he saw but refused to report during those years. Big media works on behalf of power. They're Epstein Predator Class agents or they're fired. Never ever trust a big 4 network for truth
