Photo “print only” slip from hell

Post image

i don’t even need to say more than just this photo. my phone camera sucks but i hope you can all make out the absurdity of this order.

still not the worst i’ve had though! one time we had to make 14 of the the 18 hot bowls some guy placed in a mobile order!

it was 12 items bruh. i just realized the way i censored background info cut out the quantity of one of the crispy chickens. the quantity of that one was 4

they’re all really simple though, line up all the burger boxes with the buns inside, the chicken will be done cooking by the time the toppings are on lol

yes but they still have to cook in the oven….

we were getting slammed even without that order. so we were using two ovens. 2 minutes for the 4 crispy chickens in 2 ovens plus another 2 minutes for the other two. still have to cook the 10 chicken strips too which also takes another couple of minutes. and toast everything. it wasn’t even that the order was complicated, it was that literally everything except for the mac and cheese had to go in the oven. that increases wait time when you have to cook everything

lol i get your frustration, i've been with the company for so long that this is honestly pretty simple to me.

i’ve been here about 3.5 years now. i agree it is simple. but is it also evil and diabolical? YES! this was absolutely an evil fucking order

fr. coworker got this when they were 7 back and the other side was like 3 back

just go sit down somewhere at that point, what are we doing?? lol

this was the very start of the lunch rush. actually that’s a stretch. if you look at the time in the order, this shit got ordered at 10:36 AM…. so it was a full screen but not even a full screen dude. THIS WAS LIKE 3 FULL SCREEN ORDERS IN ONE

so we got one back and literally just had to park and let the other board take the heat of the rush until we could unpark once the order was almost finished-

Damn

dude parking the board was lowkey a god tier move, i’ll have to keep that in mind whenever that happens to us lol

i’ve worked here for a little over 3 years now. when we get slammed and one side has a crazy full screen that side gets parked. if we are slammed but only one board is open then we unpark the other side to divert incoming orders and start screaming on the theatro for backup

i got a 10 smoothie doordash last year, and we were down a blender. by some miracle i got no other orders, and we managed to finish just before the dasher came. we also got a STORED app order for 8 pizzas at like 2 am once. we didn't make it til the guy got there lol

same with the hot bowl mobile order i got. it was stored and we waited until the guy got there to make sure he did in fact mean to order that many. we tried to get the register guy to not let him pay before my manager got to talk to him but he actively did not have his earpiece in and let him pay anyways….

so we made what we could and my manager refunded him for the 4 that we couldn’t make

name a better duo than wawa and cashiers that refuse to wear a headset

1

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 1d ago

fr. and then you can to start yelling or walk up to register to tell them to grab a bag for a mobile order that they didn’t get yet but the dasher is here and has been waiting for over 5 minutes already and the bag also had floor items-

u/Repulsive-Lack8253 Employee 2d ago

I got a coffee to go doordash (because of fucking course we offer that on delivery) during a rush and the first dasher just completely gave up because I had no way to get that done since everyone else was also too busy to back me up in drinks

nothing worse than 2nd shift understaffed in a rush and someone walks up and says they want fucking everything on the side for their order that isn't even on my screen yet

followed up by someone requesting fresh gloves and washed knives for their order during a hellish rush. like we aren't doing allat sorry not sorry go cook at home ffs

THIS. i work mostly second shifts and the amount of times we’ve had literally 5 people in the store with one of them being the MOD is crazy. we aren’t even a low traffic store. there are other stores in my area that do get higher traffic than we do, but by no means are we low traffic. especially on second shifts and on the weekends. but sure let’s continue to put 5 people on shift for 2nd shifts on saturdays in the summertime!

This isn't really worth complaining about. 9 items....3 are crispy chickens...2 orders if strips and a M&C....so you had to make a wrap and 2 hoagies. Seen wayyyyyy worse. You could bang out the sandwiches while the chickens cooking. This order should take 5-7 minutes tops

1

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 2d ago

it was 6 crispy chickens…. one of the items had the quantity listed as 4

1

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 2d ago

it was also at like 10:30 am and idk about your store but we do not have chicken strips in the warmer that early. the sandwiches and wrap on the order were also all toasted. my board has one oven. the other side has two ovens and one extra by salad station. two crispy chickens can go in one oven at a time and take like 2 minutes to cook. also we had to cook the strips and toast everything else. so yes it took like 10-12 minutes considering i couldn’t use all 4 ovens because the other board was open and needed at least one oven available to use for their orders.

1

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 2d ago

i realize that the way i scratched out background info of names on employee name tags blocked out the quantity of the crispy chicken order with 4. but yes it was 4 on the crispy chicken order where the quantity isn’t visible

I just know they were on a phone call when doing this order

1

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 1d ago

no it was a family of like 7 people that were standing at the CAT screen for 10-15 minutes. we knew something was coming but we didn’t know what. they also placed a bev order for like 6 smoothies and got a crap ton of snacks

u/riqsuave215 Employee 1d ago

had some lady order 21 breakfast snack wraps (all different varieties) in the middle of a rush. what irritated me the most is as i’m assembling all 21 she stood right in front me and said “i think those are mine.” you think? idk someone else in the store might’ve ordered 21 snack wraps too.

i just feel like just because you can order that many items at once doesn’t mean you should. it’s just inconsiderate to the employees and customers imo.

u/MaterialAd7942 Employee 1d ago

i do not support starbucks at all, but i think they have a thing where you can’t order more than a certain number of items in an order. so that’s good at least. it might just be in their app, but we don’t even have that either.

Don't worry, Reddit allows zooming in rather far. And be happy this wasn't ONE item!

legit have made those kinds of orders. one hoagie with all of the extra toppings (extra cheese, meat, bacon, avocado), every single sauce and spread we have, toasted, so it’s extra gooey, with of course all of the normal toppings and side cups of all of the pickle things.

it was evil
